ABRAHAM, WHERE IS SARAH?

And they said to him, where is Sarah your wife? And he said, she is here in the tent. The Lord said, I will surely return to you when the season comes round, and behold, Sarah your wife will have a son. And Sarah was listening and heard it at the tent door which was behind Him. And the Lord said, Shall I hide from Abraham My friend and servant, what I am going to do, since Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed through him and shall bless themselves by him? For I have known chosen, acknowledged him as My own, so that he may teach and command his children and the sons of his house after him to keep the way of the Lord and to do what is just and righteous, so that the Lord may bring Abraham what He has promised him. Genesis 18:9-10; 17-19.

One glorious day in the life of Abraham, while resting in the frontage of his family tent, he was confronted with a question that stun him after gladly receiving and satisfactorily entertaining three passerby’s, unknown to him, these three men were messengers from God to deliver three special messages to him. One of the messages was what will happen to his marriage with Sarah when they leave. That question is being asked today, and you must answer sincerely if you want things you have been waiting for and praying for to come to pass: Where is Sarah?

It was not impossible for the visitors to deliver the message directly to Abraham in the absence of Sarah, but they requested to see Sarah and to confirm her presence before delivering the message. The reason was, the covenant promise of God was only possible with Abraham and Sarah and not Abraham or Sarah with anyone else irrespective of the problems they were having in their marriage. Thank God Abraham and Sarah were not separated because of the problem, they were not divorced, they were not married but decided to be living alone, but she was in the same place, under the same tent with Abraham when the visitors came asking. Note the response of Abraham: “she is here in the tent.”

God will never forget His covenant with you irrespective of the situation you may be having in your home and marriage, irrespective of the reported, known and openly talk-about hindrances, irrespective of the physical, spiritual, financial and medical report in your hands. God is, and will forever be and always will be governed only by His words; He will never change His words for any reason because His words are His covenant with man. Abraham said, she is here in the tent, not she is there, in that tent. God is willing to intervene and provide help to anyone who is willing to believe, obey and follow His words even when it is painful to do so.

This same question is for all who are married and those who are yet to marry. For those who are married, where is Sarah, is never an embarrassing question. It is a question seeking to know what was going on from Abraham’s side, to know what he had done in and with such problems. That question shows God is very interested in what is going on in your marriage, in your thoughts for each other, in your family and in your personal and individual life. With His great interest and power, there is absolutely nothing that will be above God’s wisdom, power and ability in your relationship, and there will never be anything impossible for Him to do when you answer as Abraham, “she is here in the tent” and do what Sarah did, remain in the tent with Abraham despite the problem. By answering the question appropriately without excuses and contrary reasons to God’s words and plans the door for the impossible will open.

For those who are yet to be married, God has your own Sarah reserved and kept for you, the only one whom He will bond with you in order to fulfill His covenant with you. Despite the passage of days and years, God had not spoken any contrary word concerning you, never accept any from the devil, trust God, walk with Him and look unto Him. When God leads you, you will never go astray even when you make mistakes. Abraham! Where is Sarah? For Prayers Click here
