GOD MADE A WAY FOR ABRAHAM

“The Lord had said to Abram, leave your native country, your relatives, and your father’s family, and go to the land that I will show you. I will make you into a great nation. I will bless you and make you famous, and you will be a blessing to others. I will bless those who bless you and curse those who treat you with contempt. All the families on earth will be blessed through you. It was by faith that Abraham obeyed when God called him to leave home and go to another land that God would give him as his inheritance. He went without knowing where he was going. And even when he reached the land God promised him, he lived there by faith, for he was like a foreigner, living in tents. And so did Isaac and Jacob, who inherited the same promise. Abraham was confidently looking forward to a city with eternal foundations, a city designed and built by God.” Genesis 12:1-2; Hebrews 11:8-10

The Almighty God who in His love made promises to you, He will make a way for you to see the fullness and handle the blessings in the promises; He will make a way for you to see the result of the promises and the impacts of the promises; He will make a way for the promises to come alive and be fulfilled; He will take away all the hindrances, all the shadows, all the weaknesses, all the lacks, all the pains on the way to your seeing and fulfilling the promises. He will make the way, and He will open your eyes to see them, give you the grace to follow them and enable you with strength to have them. He will keep you on the right path, correct your wrongs, correct your mistakes, and He will forgive your sins; He will speak for you openly and privately, and He will defend you before the forces of darkness because His promises never fail and those He had designated to see them, to have them, to inherit them, to rejoice in them, and to pass them on to others will not fail.

Abraham had one of the most important promises of God in the bible, a promise that God in His love scheduled to outlive him, a promise that was to affect all nations, all people, and all generations on the earth, and God in His power made a way for Abraham despite all the challenges on his way, all the delays, all the wanderings, and all the frustrations in his life. God preserved Abraham from going the wrong direction, corrected his mistakes, forgave his sins, gave him Isaac, and enabled him to have a celebration, all because He made the promise and also made the way. God enabled, protected, and defended Jacob and all his family all because of that promise until they and their generations saw and are blessed by the result of the promise.

It is certain that Abraham heard God clearly, obeyed God promptly, walked by faith consistently, followed all instructions in absolute obedience, subjected himself to hardship and pains, prayed consistently, believed and never doubted that God had spoken to him and was leading him, yet that same Abraham had delays and challenges. Hebrews 12:8-10 said Abraham, following the promises faithfully was looking for a place with a foundation designed uniquely by God alone, a place quite different from what was around and he was wandering from place to place for the inner assurance from God that he was at the right place, yet in the wanderings, God was with him, leading him and ensuring that he did not go outside of the promise.

“And even when he reached the land God promised him, he lived there by faith, for he was like a foreigner, living in tents. And so did Isaac and Jacob, who inherited the same promise. Abraham was confidently looking forward to a city with eternal foundations, a city designed and built by God.” It did not matter living as a foreigner and staying in tents, God was still making the way for His promises to be fulfilled in Abraham’s life. Though Abraham lived as a foreigner and in tents, his expectations in the promises were not changed; his faith in God and in the promises did not change, his focus and determination did not change. Abraham saw the promises fulfilled, Isaac enjoyed the result of that determination, and Israel lived to see and expand the promises to all nations. God will make a way for you. For prayers, Click here
