THE LIGHT HAS DAWNED

There is a great and powerful effect in every kind of word you use on yourself irrespective of the prevailing situation you may be facing. Your words can change your life drastically, it tells God and the people around whom, and what you are. It also says what you expect and intend to be in life. On that faithful Christmas day, the angels that announced the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ used notable powerful words in their song to communicate with the shepherds: “And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men” Luke 2:13-14. These words signified the intent of God for us all and the work that Christ was expected to do on earth.

They said peace on earth, meaning the work He is coming to do. Christ came into the world not to judge anyone, not to condemn anyone, not to discriminate anyone, not to hate anyone, not to hurt, kill or destroy anyone. He came to reconcile man back to the loving and caring hands of the Almighty God, to reconcile man to man, family to family, reconcile broken and troubling relationships and all individuals in every situation; He came not to kill but to give life the true meaning it deserves. He came that humanity may have abundant peace and victory. He came that we all may enjoy good will in the things we do, taking away the bad and instituting the best. He came to bless us and to multiply our joy. These were the things He came to do, and thanks be to God He successfully accomplished them all through the preaching and believing in the word of God. All of His activities were not designed to bring temporal relieve to men but lasting and permanent relieves, ushering men into an everlasting rejoicing on earth till He will come back again to carry out another purpose. I pray that your joy will continue beyond this Christmas day for the world to see and rejoice with you through the saving grace that came through believing in Jesus Christ.

Everlasting joy is what God plans and desires for all of us in all things. Do not follow the world, do not settle for the temporal though that is the crave today amongst many, get that which is real, everlasting, eternal and very effective, that which the devil and no man can take from you. That which is not dependent on material things, the kind of joy that only the Father in heaven can give and sustain, they joy which controls and subdues the atmosphere under the power of God, making everything you will do to be according to His plans for your life. The joy at Christmas is just the beginning of that everlasting joy, it is not a one day or seasonal joy; it is every day and its benefits are received every day, the joy of the assurance of His presence with us for our good.

The joy that comes from God is not dependent on human activities but on human acceptance and belief. Everlasting joy is only in Christ Jesus, He alone gives it, and He alone sustains it.

When the shepherds saw the Child Jesus, they were overjoyed and went out telling others of the good news: “So they went with haste and [by searching] found Mary and Joseph, and the Baby lying in a manger. And when they saw it, they made known what had been told them concerning this Child, and all who heard it were astounded and marveled at what the shepherds told them. But Mary was keeping within herself all these things (sayings), weighing and pondering them in her heart. And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, just as it had been told them.” Luke 2:16-20 Let us go out and do the same, it is now our turn and our time to continue telling the good news and bring joy to individuals and world. “The people who sat (dwelt enveloped) in darkness have seen a great Light, and for those who sat in the land and shadow of death Light has dawned.” Matthew 4:16

The light that was dawned at Christmas brought peace, safety, joy and good will to all men. I pray as you walk in this light, you will enjoy the good will from God; you will see peace and celebrate peace, because you believe in Jesus who is the only source of peace.
