FROM BEING DISADVANTAGED TO BEING FAVORED

“As for you, Bethlehem of Ephrathah, though you are the least significant of Judah's forces, one who is to be a ruler in Israel on my behalf will come out from you. His origin is from remote times, from ancient days. Now the Lord said to Samuel, you have mourned long enough for Saul. I have rejected him as king of Israel, so fill your flask with olive oil and go to Bethlehem. Find a man named Jesse who lives there, for I have selected one of his sons to be my king.” Micah 5:2; 1 Samuel 16:1. David, the great King of Israel was from that same least significant and disadvantaged Bethlehem.

Considering what you know from experience concerning yourself, what you have seen with your own eyes in your own life, in your own family and in the environment you are presently; considering what you have been told by historians past and present, you may have concluded that changes will never come, you will never be favored, you will never have a breakthrough, you will never see your dreams come true, and you will ever remain in that situation. It is evident that when God sets a person up, things changes immediately, history will definitely change and new things will begin to happen in that same place to that same person.

You may be on the disadvantage and living in its pains right now in your family, in your business, in your office, in your nation and in your present location, but God is transiting you through His love to begin receiving great favor; by this favor, He is taking you from that disadvantage position to places you have never before seen in your dreams, to places you have never thought of being and to positions that will guarantee His unending favor. Your being on the disadvantage side of life is not a hindrance in any way to our God though you may have suffered several forms of setback before being in that situation.

Though dreams are a powerful tool in the hands of God to direct and correct His children, but you do not need to have a dream before God sets you up for His favor, but if you already have a dream, there is nothing bad about that, and please do not discard it for something else. Saul was made the king of Israel without a prior dream. David also became the next king in Israel without a dream, without having a prior desire, without engaging in a contest, without seeking a vote in an election, without having to present his manifestos and intent on what he desires to accomplish as the next King. He became a King in Israel because God set Him up despite being from the least significant tribe and family in Israel.

I pray God to overlook your insignificant nation, tribe, family, profession and current location and grant you His transforming favor, the kind that He granted David without a dream, a vision and a desire; I pray He will favor you despite all your previous weaknesses, disadvantaged status and the disappointments that had hitherto kept you back from seeing the promises of God fulfilled in your life. When God sets you up, things that mere men cannot see or imagine will begin to happen, what you have never thought of seeing and experiencing will begin on its own without assistance from anywhere. Things that ordinary eyes will not be able to accurately phantom because of its divine nature will begin to take place to the glory of God.

Many of us have been in the realm of the impossible for too long, we have been on the realm of failure, denials and delays for too long, but When God sets you up, impossible things becomes possible, delays will be a thing of the past and denials will never show itself again where you are. When God sets you up, the devil will try to stop you, but God will not allow him. Because God decided to set David up though he was from Bethlehem, the insignificance of his tribe in Israel was no more a disadvantage; his insignificant family background, history and wealth was no more a hindrance; his profession as a shepherd boy was no more a hindrance, and nothing in him was able to stop him. Your disadvantage will no more be your hindrance. For prayers, Click here
