NEVER GIVING UP DESPITE ALL

The actions you take and the words you speak in every situation are a true reflection of your beliefs and the foundation which you based all your hopes on in life now and in the future. A bad word and a bad action reflect a bad believe system and a bad foundation of such believes. The foundation of your hopes determines the prayers you will offer in every situation of your life, it determines the words you will speak to yourself and to others, and it determines the expectations you hope to see later. God is not only waiting to see how you live, He wants to see your success. He wants to you excelling in every spiritual and physical test like Job did.

One of the greatest secret of Job was his decision which was based upon the foundation he had built his live on before the calamity came. Living, speaking and acting upon that foundation, Job was asked to denounce his God and spare his life; he was asked to blame his God for the dead of his children, for the loss of all that he had ever worked for in life; he was asked to confess all the sins he never committed; he was asked to restore things he never stole, and he was asked to search himself beyond what he knew. All that they wanted from Job was to give up on his God. But despite the pressure, the persuasions, the loneliness, the frustrations, the hunger, anger and the pains of what he was physically going through, Job’s final decision was never to give up trusting God for a change and for better days, and God did not disappoint his expectations.

These were the words that determined Job’s expectations and actions; “God might kill me, but I have no other hope. I am going to argue my case with him. But this is what will save me, I am not godless. If I were, I could not stand before him.” Job 13:15-16. Note that godliness is not only a spiritual things before God and that it is only concealed inside of you and kept away from the eyes of men, true godliness also reflects and affects your physical live and people want to it.

Because of your present situation, your overdue loneliness, childlessness, joblessness and desires to wait on God for better days, the pressure you are having daily from family, friends, colleagues and peers may be increasing every second and it is becoming unbearable, the sorrows of having to give explanations is becoming too great for you to adequately handle, the waiting on God they say will be unproductive and the expected result seems too long to come, but despite all things just like Job, I will want you to declare ‘I never give up my hope in the Lord my God’.

Endeavor to always build your hope on God’s unfailing faithfulness, uncompromising love to you, His unfailing ability to completely restore and bless beyond measure, and His willingness to even sacrifice His son on the cross for the remission of your sin. If God did sacrifice His son for your sins, then there is nothing else He will not sacrifice for your well-being and to bless the life He had redeemed from the condemnation of the wickedness sin and the devil.

Never give up hoping because even in the grave, Jesus Christ never gave up His authority as the only begotten Son of the Father; He never gave up His love for all humanity; He never gave up His ability even in His weakness to pay the full price for our redemption. Even in your hours of denial, disappointment, frustrations and punishment, never give up your hope in Christ Jesus, never give up your trust in His goodness, and never give up your hope in the power of His salvation working in your life for your own good.

Never give up dreaming even when the previous ones are yet to be implemented; never give up aspiring for better things even when the roads look too far, congested and always very rough to walk through. Never give up praying even when the previous ones are yet to be answered. Never give up trusting God for marriage even when no one shows up with a proposal. Never give up looking unto God even when you are advised otherwise. Never give up because your God is alive and actively working in and through you to perfect His plans. For prayers, Click here
