JUST A LITTLE LONGER

You can achieve every of your desires when you decide to spend a little time longer positively. Before impossibilities exist, desire and action had been in place, without desire there is no impossibility, and without action, there is no reward. If your desires do not move you to positive action each day, the devil will prompt you for his evil purpose. The greatest hindrance you will ever suffer in life is self-inflicted; the lay back you decide on due to the difficulties you experience in fulfilling your desires. The active pursuit of your desires can define your future for good forever. Never give up on your God-given dreams even after several unsuccessful attempts.

“Now it occurred that while the people pressed upon Jesus to hear the message of God, He was standing by the Lake of Gennesaret (Sea of Galilee). And He saw two boats drawn up by the lake, but the fishermen had gone down from them and were washing their nets. And getting into one of the boats, the one that belonged to Simon Peter, He requested him to draw away a little from the shore. Then He sat down and continued to teach the crowd of people from the boat. When He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon Peter, Put out into the deep water, and lower your nets for a haul. And Simon Peter answered, Master, we toiled all night exhaustingly and caught nothing in our nets. But on the ground of Your word, I will lower the nets again. And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish; and as their nets were at the point of breaking, they signaled to their partners in the other boat to come and take hold with them. And they came and filled both the boats, so that they began to sink. But when Simon Peter saw this, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying; depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord. For he was gripped with bewildering amazement [allied to terror], and all who were with him, at the haul of fish which they had made; and so also were James and John, the sons of Zebedee, who were partners with Simon Peter. And Jesus said to Simon, Have no fear; from now on you will be catching men” Luke 5:1-10

After Peter’s all-night unsuccessful struggle, he was completely frustrated, confused, tired, clueless of what to do next and hopeless, without fish and food, but he never left the scene of his desire. He never knew the reason for his inability or lack of success that night was for him to meet Christ Jesus. He was determined to hang around until something positive happens and thank God something good did happen. He finally left the scene with his desired blessing, fully satisfied and above all, completely transformed forever. This is going to be your result.

David said; “One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek, inquire for, and [insistently] require: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord, in His presence all the days of my life, to behold and gaze upon the beauty [the sweet attractiveness and the delightful loveliness] of the Lord and to meditate, consider, and inquire in His temple. For in the day of trouble He will hide me in His shelter; in the secret place of His tent will He hide me; He will set me high upon a rock. And now shall my head be lifted up above my enemies round about me; in His tent I will offer sacrifices and shouting of joy; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the Lord” Psalm 27:4-6

The little more time you decide to spend on your desire despite the frustration, disappointments, pains and anger might be all you need to define and positively affect the rest of your life forever like it did for Peter. Just a little longer.

Spend a little time longer in your prayers, a little time longer in your patience with self and others, a little time longer in your voluntary humility despite what people are saying, a little time longer in your level of tolerance of others, a little time longer in your bible studies, a little time longer in the church, a little time longer with your Pastor, parents, good friends and colleagues. God will meet you there sooner than you think for the permanent change you desire. For prayers and encouragement during difficult times, someone is here to pray with you. Click here
