LORD DOES ANYONE HAVE ISSUES LIKE MINE?

“And there was a famine in the land, beside the first famine that was in the days of Abraham. And Isaac went unto Abimelech king of the Philistines unto Gerar. And the Lord appeared unto him, and said, Go not down into Egypt; dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of. Sojourn in this land and I will be with thee, and will bless thee; for unto thee, and unto thy seed, I will give all these countries, and I will perform the oath which I sware unto Abraham thy father; and I will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these countries; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws. And Isaac dwelt in Gerar; And Abimelech charged all his people, saying, He that toucheth this man or his wife shall surely be put to death. Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the Lord blessed him. And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great: For he had possession of flocks, and possession of herds and great store of servants: and the Philistines envied him. For all the wells which his father's servants had digged in the days of Abraham his father, the Philistines had stopped them, and filled them with earth.” Genesis 26:1-6, 11-15

Who would believe Sarah would have an issue after marrying a man who absolutely believed, obeyed, and followed God’s instructions? Who would have believed Abraham would have any issue with anyone after hearing God clearly? Who would have believed Isaac would ever have an issue after being the son of Abraham the wealthiest man on earth then and inheriting the best of Abraham’s wealth from God? What you are going through is not strange and is not what God in His love and mercy for you cannot address. There are issues in everyone's life but what you do when you have issues is what matters in the presence of God, in the result you will have, and in the view that people will have on you despite what you will expect.

Based on Abrahyam’s success story with God, his son Isaac should never have any difficult issue in his life, but he did; based on Abraham’s wealth as promised by God, Isaac should never suffer or experience with poverty or lack, but he did; based on Abraham’s obedience to God’s words and instructions, Isaac should never have made a mistake in his life or think otherwise, but he did; and based on God’s promises to Abraham, Isaac should never suffer famine, dwell in a place that will experience one but despite all that, we are told Isaac experienced famine and his thoughts were not as a son of Abraham. He wanted to go down to Egypt which was contrary to the desire of God for his life. When we face issues in our lives, our thoughts are confused and our focus on the desires of God for our lives are distorted; when we have issues we can’t adequately handle our thoughts and imaginations and our physical body suffers. There are issues in everyone’s life that will need God’s urgent attention; these are issues that we have no ability to control, no ability to act decisively; no ability to predict its outcome and no ability to adequately address all of them permanently; these are issues we have seen in our life but have no knowledge of how it came and when it will go, and these issues are things that are offensive and painful to our lives.

The common thing in the lives of all those who had issues in their lives as recorded in the bible is what they did with their lives; they continued following God in every way, they continued obeying His word and following His instructions; they continued in their works and desire to be faithful and to keep doing the things of God. Abraham never gave up on God; Sarah never turns her back on God or her husband, Isaac enquired of God and decided to obey and do what God told him to do, they continue in loving God and God gave them the victory they deserved in those issues. Did you know that God had addressed your issues in His words and by His love, mercy, and grace, He will give you the victory over that issue? For prayers Click here
