WHEN GIVEN OPPORTUNITY TO ASK FOR ANYTHING (2)

At the mount of sacrifice, Solomon did what he could do, but when given the opportunity to ask whatever he needed, he asked what he could not do and what no one could do for him. The night immediately after his sacrifice of a thousand ram to the Lord, that night when given the rare opportunity to ask, Solomon did not miss his heart desire, did not miss the topmost issue in his life, did not miss the plans of God for his life and for the children of Israel; did not ask for small things, and did not regret what he asked from God thereafter. I pray when given a new and much-needed opportunity, you will not miss the topmost plans of God for your life, you will not misuse the opportunity again, you will not concentrate on your past or on your enemies, you will not regret your past days, you will not look back and complain of how you have always been a victim in every issue and every situation, you will talk about the pending wickedness and regret ever being alive, or what you did in the past that is affecting your progress and your future; you will not forget to ask for wisdom, understanding, divine ability and grace.

When given the opportunity by God to ask for anything concerning every aspect of your life. what will you ask? What will be your priority? Solomon asked that which only God could do; he asked that which will ensure he is properly fitted in the anointing as a king, rooted in the job, and in the assignment of God committed into his hands for Israel and the people of God. He asked God what was beyond the thoughts and imaginations of his enemies and foes; he asked God for what all his counsel of administrative advisers could not do or give to him. He touched the heart of God by what he asked and he immediately moved God to respond positively to his request. It is true that God will do whatever He wants and His word will only accomplish His desires in our lives and on earth, but He had given us the opportunity to also speak to Him and ask whatever we want from Him. This is the opportunity and this is the promise to you; “Ask, and you will be given what you ask for. Seek, and you will find. Knock and the door will be opened. For everyone who asks, receives. Anyone who seeks finds. If only you will knock, the door will open. If a child asks his father for a loaf of bread, will he be given a stone instead? If he asks for fish, will he be given a poisonous snake? Of course not. And if you hard-hearted, sinful men know how to give good gifts to your children, won’t your Father in heaven even more certainly give good gifts to those who ask Him for them? Do for others what you want them to do for you. This is the teaching of the laws of Moses in a nutshell.” Matthew 7:7-12

These are the conditions for asking, you must a son or a daughter; you must believe in your father and know that He has the capability to do whatever you ask; you must be consistent, faithful, and never give up. When you seek, you will find, when you knock the doors will be open, when you ask it will be given. Ask God with a pure purpose; give Him good reasons for whatever you are asking; make it bigger than what men can do for you and make your request in faith and humility before Him. “If you want to know what God wants you to do, ask Him, and He will gladly tell you, for He is always ready to give a bountiful supply of wisdom to all who ask Him; He will not resent it. But when you ask Him, be sure that you really expect Him to tell you, for a doubtful mind will be as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind and every decision you then make will be uncertain, as you turn first this way and then that. If you don’t ask with faith, don’t expect the Lord to give you any solid answer.” James 1:5-8

In all aspects of living and despite all the struggles in your life, God has high values for you and for everyone who believes in Him, do you value Him and truly believe in Him? Do you value His words above other words and revelations and desires? Do you give Him the praise that is due and appropriate? Do you call on Him with a repented heart, a focused mind, and proven actions that are always consistent with His word? Ask Him for anything. For prayers, Click here
