Joseph’s story is a clear example of what those who are led by God suffers and how God still is in control in their lives in their situations, leading them and making ways for His will and plans and desires to be fulfilled irrespective of the delays, time, the place and the circumstance. There is no place that your enemies or adversaries will put you that God cannot make a way out for you or God cannot fulfill all of His plans for your life or that will make it impossible to do what He had said in His promises to you. No place is too dark that He cannot see through, no road too rough that He cannot walk you through or walk with you; no situation too complicated or hard that He does not understand and will not deliver you from.

You may have been rejected and isolated and very lonely, yet God can still lead you, He can still and will still, make a way for you and still bless you. Rejection is the plans of men, isolation is the plans of men and punishment, sorrows, pains discouragement and disappointments are the plans of the devil yet in all these things, God’s plans can still and will still work to make a way for you to praise His Holy name. You may have been denied your rights in ways that are beyond your imaginations, out of your dreams and desires, yet God can still restore you far beyond what and where you were before all the troubles you came. That was what He did to Job, that was what He did to Joseph and to many others, and He who did it for others will also do it for you and you will live to experience something better and praise His name on earth.

Joseph experienced what he never desired or expected in the hands of his own brothers, suffered for the crime he never committed in the hands of his slave master, and he went to prison without being judged. In God’s leading of Joseph, he became bitterly hated by his brothers; he was put in a pit he could not come out from and later sold to slavery. He became an unwilling slave in an unwilling place, yet he was faithful to even his slave master and remain faithful also to God; he was accused and given an indefinite sentenced of time in prison without judgment. Joseph moved from being an unwilling slave boy to being an unwilling prisoner. Joseph became a head labor master while in prison, a dream interpreter and a confidant of the prisoners, yet in all these things, God was leading him to the place He had designed and destined for him, and Joseph finally arrived at the place and position God had destined for him.

When God leads you, He will ensure you do not miss the place of your destiny despite all the troubles and shame that may come to distract, humiliate and discourage you. He is our perfect leader in all situation and in all circumstances and in all locations. Our God will not fail and we will not fail. He is capable and He is faithful in all His deeds and promises. Joseph suffered yet he became the pillar of hope and an instrument in the hands of God to fulfill His words to Moses and promise to the children of Israel. This is how Joseph opens up to his brothers; “Then Joseph could no longer control himself before all his attendants, and he cried out, “Have everyone leave my presence. So there was no one with Joseph when he made himself known to his brothers. And he wept so loudly that the Egyptians heard him, and Pharaoh’s household heard about it. Joseph said to his brothers, I am Joseph, is my father still living? But his brothers were not able to answer him, because they were terrified at his presence. Then Joseph said to his brothers, come close to me. When they had done so, he said, I am your brother Joseph, the one you sold into Egypt. And now, do not be distressed and do not be angry with yourselves for selling me here, because it was to save lives that God sent me ahead of you. For two years now there has been famine in the land, and for the next five years, there will be no plowing and reaping. But God sent me ahead of you to preserve for you a remnant on earth and to save your lives by a great deliverance. So then, it was not you who sent me here, but God. He made me a father to Pharaoh, lord of his entire household and ruler of all Egypt.” Genesis 43:1-8. Prayer Request Click here
