HIGH EXPECTATIONS, POOR RESULT, LORD WHY?

Post date: Aug 7, 2013 4:06:05 AM

Have you noticed the poor result in reaching your expected projections despite the application of faith, believes, hard work, prayer and fasting? You have done no wrong in having a high expectation in what you have, in the things you do, in those you will do later in life and in your God. But there is absolutely something wrong in having a consistent poor result every time after a comparable high expectation. It should be noted that high expectations is good for a Christian because it increases hope, happiness, confidence and inner joy in our God. A consistent poor result creates serious inner and open anger, rebellion in everything, sadness, resistance to people and it stops you from pursuing further visions and dreams.

You have done no wrong in expecting recognition, respect, promotion, expecting financial, spiritual and physical increases in all things. God does not desire you to have a high expectation and a consistent poor result. God will not disappoint you; He wants to change that by changing your actions. Poor result comes through inappropriate actions.

God will never fail in any of His many promises to you despite what you may be going through. Before He made you, He first made adequate provisions for you to live the life you want, to achieve the success you desire and to be what He planned for you in life. In every situation, we should be thankful to God for His foresight in creation, His plans and purposes in everything He made and everything He will ever expose us to in life. His foresights, plans and purposes were to benefit everyone in every nation, irrespective of gender, profession, dialect, beliefs and location. The God we serve will never discriminate, be partial in provision and in protection.

He had made adequate provision for everyone to excel, to be great, happy, productive, healthy, and to contribute meaningfully to the advancement and happiness of others. He does not owe anyone, He only rewards everyone according to what they believe in and do. One good thing in life is that God never intended anyone to be stagnated for any reason in things that are needful for life to have a true meaning. Everyone needs a raise in take home pay, an increase in what is already on hand, at home and in the banks; everyone need a breakthrough in all aspect of living, we need surplus or addition every day in order to ensure our comfort and security. Money is where people cry the loudest for increase, those who have need more for security and comfort, and those who do not need it for survival. But why the negative result of expectations?

“Thus says the Lord of hosts; consider your ways and set your mind on what has come to you. You have sown much, but you have reaped little, you eat, but you do not have enough; you drink, but you do not have your fill; you clothe yourselves, but no one is warm; and he who earns wages has earned them to put them in a bag with holes in it. Thus says the Lord of hosts, consider your ways, your previous and present conduct and how you have fared. Go up to the hill country and bring lumber and rebuild My house, and I will take pleasure in it and I will be glorified, says the Lord. You looked for much harvest, and behold, it came to little; and even when you brought that home, I blew it away. Why? says the Lord of hosts. Because of My house, which lies waste while you yourselves run each man to his own house eager to build and adorn it. Therefore the heavens above you, for your sake, withhold the dew, and the earth withholds its produce. And I have called for a drought upon the land and the hill country, upon the grain, the fresh wine, the oil, upon what the ground brings forth, upon men and cattle, and upon all the wearisome toil of men’s hands. Then Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel and Joshua son of Jehozadak, the high priest, with all the remnant of the people listened to and obeyed the voice of the Lord their God, not vaguely or partly, but completely, according to the words of Haggai the prophet, and the people reverently feared and worshipfully turned to the Lord. Haggai 1:5-12. God can fulfill your expectation when you do His will. For prayer Click here
