AND GOD GRANTED JABEZ REQUEST

Post date: Sep 23, 2013 2:38:28 AM

What a joy to see this happen to you immediately after a prayer? It is never impossible with God on your side. That is our expectation for you and we will not stop until that expectation happens. Do not give up when there is a delay, God had not denied your request, you are only having a delay in manifesting the requested blessing. This is the promise of Christ concerning our prayers: “And when that time comes, you will ask nothing of Me, you will need to ask Me no questions. I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, that My Father will grant you whatever you ask in My Name as presenting all that I Am. Up to this time you have not asked a single thing in My Name as presenting all that I Am; but now ask and keep on asking and you will receive, so that your joy, gladness, delight may be full and complete.” John 16:23-24. That is what Christ Jesus had promised, He will be delighted that your request is not only heard, but that they are granted, that your joy is full, that your gladness is unhindered and that you are completely delighted to be called a Christian, a child of God and an heir to the provisions of God in Christ Jesus.

Besides salvation that ensures our enjoying eternity with God in heaven, the joy of seeing our prayer request granted is phenomenal. That is the joy of believing in God, following His ways, trusting in all His words and promises, being faithful to Him alone, having faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and spending time praying to God in the name of Jesus Christ. I am asking and trusting God that He will keep you till you have this same experience in your life as Jabez did. I am asking this because you are in a better time than Jabez, a time of the fulfillment of all the promises in the scripture, a time that Jesus Christ had paid the price for our redemption, a time that the blood of Jesus speaks better things than the blood of Abel, a time that we know what we know, see what we see, and have the words and promises of God written out for us and handed into our hands to read, verify and accept. A time we know and can rightly make reference to how God granted Jabez request, a time we can draw hope and confidence from that same scene. A time that the powers and rulers of darkness are on their flight because of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit of God in our lives, a time without doubt, that we are expected to have God’s grace as sons and daughters of the living God. A time that Jabez never had yet his request was granted.

The beauty of prayer is not your eloquence, not your righteousness, not your feeling good, not in how powerful and precise you were, not in what people will say to you after, and not in what you will do thereafter, though all these things are very necessary. The beauty of prayers is in what your God will do immediately thereafter. The beauty of Jabez prayer is what happened after the prayer, the scripture said “and God granted his request”. That is the expectation and the beauty of praying. We were told God granted his request.” 1 Chronicles 4:10. What a joy that was.

What God does will determine what you will become after; what and how your next testimony will look like, how your life will be thereafter, and what your next location will be in life. When God grant your request, your position, location, dreams, words, visions and desires will definitely change for good. God will not grant them and still leave you in the same spot and in the same location undergoing the same oppression and anger.

It is because of what God will do that is why we subject ourselves to pray, not in what people will say and do. What are your expectations? Do you believe in them? Can you trust God for them? Can you sacrifice yourself to realize them? Jabez went to God with the expectation he knew can take place in his life and left the place of prayer a new man. God will definitely defend you; defend everything He created and everything He had given to you. I pray God will grant your request and defend you in them in Jesus name. For Prayer Click here
