YOU WILL NOT BE PUT TO SHAME

“Simon, Simon Peter, listen, Satan has demanded permission to sift all of you like grain; but I have prayed especially for you Peter, that your faith and confidence in Me may not fail; and you, once you have turned back again to Me, strengthen and support your brothers in the faith.” Luke 22:31-32. What offense or wrong or sin did Peter commit that made Satan have the desire and obtain a permit from God to sift him? None, Peter was growing in faith and in confidence to following the Lord and doing what He said; he was happy in learning and committing all the words he heard from the teaching of Jesus Christ to heart and actions; and he was distinguished from others in many ways and looking up to do greater services in his life to Lord and God. Jesus Christ told him clearly what Satan intended against him; the beautiful thing there was not what Satan intended, but what Jesus Christ said He did, “but I have prayed especially for you Peter’. Christ assured Peter, Satan will come, but I have prayed for you and you will not be put to shame by his tricks and actions; you will not be put to shame by his attack and deception; you will not be put to shame by hunger and lack and you will not be put to shame in ministry.

As Christ Jesus prayed for Peter on that faithful day, so is He also praying for you right now; it is certain that the efficacy of His prayers for you will be felt in every area of your life, in your job and business, in your church and ministry, in your marriage and family, in your profession and studies and in your work with Him. As you have decided to obey and follow and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, you will not be put to shame by the antics of the devil; you will not be put to shame in your desire to have faithful children and raise a God fearing family; the devil will not put you to shame in your relationship with your spouse, children, and family and you will not be put to shame by your weaknesses and often mistakes.

In 2017, God will uphold your steps, He will direct your ways, he will make provisions for you to live happily and praise His name; He will make ways for you even in the wilderness when you stand confused before the Red Sea that the devil will raise against you. He will bring back the memory of His goodness to the children of Israel in Egypt and along the path to the Promised Land. He will show and give you His great and unending mercies; you will enjoy His love much more before, and you will be bold enough to declare to others that you are the son/daughter of the Most High God who is alive and able to do all things. There are several ways Satan and his agents are harassing, teasing, testing, humiliating, punishing, tempting and discrediting believers of our Lord Jesus Christ today, but you will not be put to shame. Irrespective of the strength of your enemies, their weapons of war, their numbers, the current locations and backers, God is not afraid of them; he had decided to take honor in you and He will and you will not put to shame. Let them in the day of in the night, God is there to make a way for you, to defend you, to deliver you and to magnify you in the coming year, you will not be put to shame.

“Then Moses said to the people, do not be afraid, take your stand, be firm and confident and undismayed and see the salvation of the Lord which He will accomplish for you today; for those Egyptians whom you have seen today, you will never see again. The Lord will fight for you while you only need to keep silent and remain calm. The Lord said to Moses, why do you cry to Me? Tell the sons of Israel to move forward toward the sea. As for you, lift up your staff and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it, so that the sons of Israel may go through the middle of the sea on dry land. As for Me, hear this: I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians, and they will go in the sea after them, and I will be glorified and honored through Pharaoh and all his army, and his war-chariots and his horsemen. And the Egyptians shall know without any doubt and acknowledge that I am the Lord when I am glorified and honored through Pharaoh, through his war-chariots and his charioteers.” Exodus 14:13-18.
