“LO, I AM WITH YOU ALWAYS”

After the cruel death of Jesus Christ on the cross, His disciples who were observing everything that happened to Him had some thoughts in their mind; they had observed firsthand Christ being abused, flogged with cane, stripped naked and made to walk the streets naked; made a public shame in the public square for everyone to see; they gave Him a heavy Cross to carry; they gave Him vinegar instead of water; His side was pierced, He was  hung on the Cross and left to die there. They say Him punished without mercy; they saw Him punished without help and they saw Him pass on without showing any sign of remorse. Thereafter, they were afraid of their own lives; they were afraid of what will happen to them individually and collectively, they were wondering within themselves, if the chief priest and the people could do such to the master whom they trust and believed was untouchable, was strong, was God, and was the Son of the Almighty God, who was perfect and caring, what then will happen to them. This generated fear and doubts and some were contemplating many options in their heart, many were confused having nowhere else to go and knowing nothing else to do. while they were waiting to take their own afflictions from the government and religious leaders, their Master Jesus Christ came and assured all of them gathered together in that place that He will not turn His back on any of them and He will not stop being with them irrespective of what will happen. “And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, all authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen.” Matthew 28:18-20

What is it that you had seen in your own life and its offensive or seen in the lives of others? What is it you had ever experienced and feel so bad about? What is it that you had heard about yourself that unsettles your thoughts, emotion, and imaginations? What is it you are currently seeing, hearing, and experiencing that is bad? What have you ever questioned concerning your life, your future, and your destiny? There is nothing that God had promised you that will not be fulfilled despite what your present experiences may be. Like the disciples who were confused and wondering what will happen to them after seeing all that had happened to Christ, we are also in confused and in doubt of ourselves now and about our future and Christ is giving us the same counsel as He gave His disciples, lo I am with you always even to the end of the world. What do you know that is giving you painful days and sleepless nights? What are you going through and experiencing that Christ is not able to handle and set you free? What is it about the enemies that is giving you worrisome and fearful thoughts about your future? God is saying to you He is with you; the same assurance He gave the disciples is being given to you. You will overcome; that doubt in your heart will not stop your God from fulfilling His words; the fear before you cannot destroy your chances; that confusion will never be permanent and that intimidation will cease. “For I the Lord your God will hold your right hand, saying to you, fear not, I will help you.” Isaiah 41:13. You are in His good hands and your best will be manifested.

“Look to Me, and be saved, all you ends of the earth. For I am God, and there is no other. I have sworn by Myself; the word has gone out of My mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, that to Me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall take an oath. He shall say, surely in the Lord I have righteousness and strength. To Him, men shall come, and all shall be ashamed who are incensed against Him. In the Lord, all the descendants of Israel shall be justified, and shall glory.” For it is written: As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to Me, and every tongue shall confess to God. Isaiah 45:22-25; Romans 14:11. Rejoice, your destiny was written by God and despite what is happening to you, the writer of that destiny is still alive and will fulfill every word He had written concerning you.
