COMFORTED, BECAUSE GOD SAID IT

Despite what is going on in and around you, whose report do you always believe, trust, accept and follow? The source of your information is important to your happiness and assurance in life today and in the days and years to come. What have you heard and seen of recent about yourself, your desires, your dreams and plans? What is in your mind? What has the devil told you in private or in public concerning the your future? How do you feel about what you heard and seen? How do they affect you generally? Are you angry or happy with yourself concerning those things? If the devil will have his way in your life, he will keep you perpetually angry all the days of your life, but your God wants you to be happy and always rejoicing despite what you heard, seen and feel.

Irrespective of what you have heard, seen and feel in any area of your life, there is an assuring ward of comfort from your Father in heaven concerning you now and till eternity. There is no area of your life that God has left behind in His word. His words touches all things and are very powerful, relieving and assuring, but you can only unlock and claim those comforts through your consistent belief, trust, acceptance and following those words. Christ Jesus said: “Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.” Luke 21:33.

If the words of God cannot guide, bless and keep you strong, active, relevant and happy, nothing else in the world will. The devil will always try to bring you into his captivity, but the word of God can keep you free from such captivity forever. Our Heavenly Father will do anything that you can consistently believe Him for in your entire life. He is always faithful, willing and able to give you a physical and spiritual turn around, and to perform things that you have already considered impossible and written off in your records for yourself.

Elizabeth, the mother of John the Baptist was written off by family and friends concerning having a child, but God did not write her off amongst those to have children despite what she saw in herself, heard from people and doctors, feel in her body, her age reminding her always and reports of judgments. God had to reveal His word, His plans and His intent for Elizabeth to Mary. He told her: “Now indeed, Elizabeth your relative has also conceived a son in her old age; and this is now the sixth month for her who was called barren. For with God nothing will be impossible. Then Mary said, Behold the maidservant of the Lord. Let it be to me according to your word. And the angel departed from her.” Luke 1:36-38. When Mary heard that of Elizabeth, she also accepted and believed her own. Because God said it, He will perform it.

The method of Satan’s deception to humanity today is still the same as it was in the days of Adam and Eve in the garden and in the days of Jesus Christ in the wilderness. He seeks to create doubts in you regarding the true in the word of God concerning your life, your belief, your purpose and your general intents and purpose in life. Once he gets you as confused and uncertain as possible, he will seek to convince you to act contrary to the scriptural truth.

What do you believe? Do not allow the devil to scuttle your thoughts concerning the promises of God for your life through confusions and uncomfortable situations. He will always try to get you by distorting your thoughts about yourself because of what you have seen and are going through. Remember, you may be very weak and seem to have failed in life today, but yet you are not a failure. You may have been exhausted, severely tempted and frustrated, but yet, you can still pull yourself through with the word of God. You may be suffering from unnecessary delays and continuous denials, but the word of God is still active and real. After being exhausted through forty days prayers and fasting, through His words, Christ Jesus showed the devil that He will not allow His physical situation after the fasting to predict His destiny in life but the word of God. God said it, it is written and comforting to follow. Matthew 4:1-11. For Prayers Click here
