EARNING GOD’S TRUST

Post date: Nov 13, 2012 5:50:55 AM

When God trust you, He will make you a carrier of His blessings; that was what Abraham became after His work with God. Abraham was absolutely obedient, faithful, focused, and committed to seeing all that God promised him fulfilled. He did not go to bed after receiving the promise; he believed it, trusted in God, followed all instructions and waited patiently until they were fulfilled. Trust is not measured in words but in a consistent action over a period of time. The God who trusted Abraham with His blessings is still alive and can fulfill all His words in our generation if He finds anyone to trust as Abraham. The lack we sometimes suffer is not as a result of the dwindling resources in heaven, or God’s refusals to open up the heavens for us, but because most of us have not fully earned His trust even in the little we have right now.

All believers are partakers of the blessing of Abraham. It has nothing to do with our works though works also matters, but Abraham earned it through work and belief. “And he [Abram] believed in (trusted in, relied on, remained steadfast to) the Lord, and He counted it to him as righteousness (right standing with God). And He said to him, I am the [same] Lord, Who brought you out of Ur of the Chaldees to give you this land as an inheritance. But he [Abram] said, Lord God, by what shall I know that I shall inherit it?” Genesis 15:6-8

Abraham earned his trust through hearing the word of God, believing in that word, trusting in the word and in Him who spoke to him, relied on the words all through his live and remaining steadfast in the word he heard till the very end. He never stopped believing and trusting God despite all the trouble he encountered in his life. Earning God trust will not only bring the desired blessings, it will also make the blessings to flow through you to others. That is the benefit of worshiping the true God; you become the light to light the path for others to follow in the world.  “Now the promises (covenants, agreements) were decreed and made to Abraham and his Seed (his Offspring, his Heir). He [God] does not say, And to seeds (descendants, heirs), as if referring to many persons, but, and to your Seed (your Descendant, your Heir), obviously referring to one individual, who is none other than Christ the Messiah. And if you belong to Christ [are in Him Who is Abraham’s Seed], then you are Abraham’s offspring and [spiritual] heirs according to promise.” Galatians 3:16, 29

It is hard to earn the trust of men, not God, and we can by looking and following the footsteps of Abraham. He first believed God and builds trust by working in faith and obedience. Learn to believe people even when you doubt their actions, but trust God in all and for all things. Never fail trusting God even in an unknown situation despite your level of uncertainty, fears and lack of motivation. “He who is faithful in a very little thing is faithful also in much, and he who is dishonest and unjust in a very little thing is dishonest and unjust also in much. Therefore if you have not been faithful in the case of unrighteous mammon (deceitful riches, money, possessions), who will entrust to you the true riches? And if you have not proved faithful in that which belongs to another [whether God or man], who will give you that which is your own [that is, the true riches]?” Luke 16:10-12

Are you worthy or desired to be trusted with the priceless resources of heaven? For the endless blessings of God to continue in the life of believers, we must work to earn the trust from God. Refuse to conclude that truthfulness and faithfulness does not reward. Refuse to accept the alternative route that leads to wealth, it will only leave you compromising the true word of God. Practice absolute faithfulness in the little you have right now and God will bring the needed increase. Believe and follow every word of God you have read and heard, be consistent in your actions and pray always. Earning the trust opens the doors you have been waiting for all this days.  Declaring my life in 2013 prayer: November 15-18 2012, send in your request Click here
