"ASHAMED BUT NOT DISCOURAGED"

Post date: Jul 20, 2018 4:47:03 AM

Many things are happening even to the righteous and the devil’s desire is to make them abandon what God had promised them; abandon following the right path to their expected victory; and blessings; abandon doing the will of God for their lives; abandon waiting with patience for the promise of God for their lives to be fulfilled in its right timing by the Almighty God; abandon the way of truth and follow the ways of lies; abandon depending on God and looking up to Him for their needs and supplies; abandon reading the bible and trusting the words therein; abandon the grace in their salvation and the purpose of their salvation; abandon their Christian responsibilities and their moral values. Many things are happening and the righteous are being put to shame in many ways and some are done publicly and openly. but that won't continue indefinitely.

Let me assure you that if the devil puts you to shame in ways you never imagine and could not in any way understand why; if he will do whatever he could to cause shame in your life, shame in the very things and ministry God had given you and called you into; shame in your marriage, shame in your family, shame in your finances and shame in your respective jobs and professions; shame of being in a particular situation for too long despite all the prayers and fasting and waiting; shame of being lonely, jobless, homeless, sick, and suffering in the wickedness of open injustice, the Almighty God we serve will take that shame away if you are not discouraged in following Him to the extent of abandoning the will, the purpose and the call of God for your life as you live. God has a plan for every shame the devil had brought to your life and He will implement them in ways that will glorify His name even when you were put to shame by the decisions and activities of the devil publicly.

When our spouse, when our children, when our health, when our work and when our family and finances are not what we expect them to be and what we have labored for them to be physically and spiritually in prayer and godly counsel, we are bound to be discouraged. Did you know that it is a shameful thing and a humiliating experience to be stripped naked on the streets for the world to see? It is a shameful thing to be judged wrongly when all evidence is there to prove you are right and innocent? Do you know it is shameful to be pronounced guilty when you are actually guiltless? Did you know it is shameful to be a failure and hindered from doing that God had called you to and despite all your efforts, success still seems impossible and too far from coming? Did you know it is shameful to be hungry and lacking when others have more than enough and not knowing what to do next with the surplus they have? Did you know it is shameful to be publicly condemned and humiliated even before your spouse, children, family, friends and professional colleagues? The devil will go to the extreme to humiliate the righteous but God will stop them in their ways and will reward them with their deeds.

Jesus Christ our Lord was stripped naked and made to suffer shame, but that shame did not stop Him from being raised from the dead and taken out of the grave with the power and the fullness of heavenly glory to a more better and powerful position. “Early on Sunday morning, as the new day was dawning, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went out to visit the tomb. Suddenly there was a great earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven, rolled aside the stone, and sat on it. His face shone like lightning, and his clothing was as white as snow. The guards shook with fear when they saw him, and they fell into a dead faint. Then the angel spoke to the women. Don’t be afraid he said. I know you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He isn’t here; He is risen from the dead, just as he said would happen. Come, see where his body was lying. Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor and gave him the name above all other names, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue declare that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Matthew 28:1-6; Philippians 2:9-11.
