“I AM TOO FAR BEHIND, HELP ME LORD”

Post date: Mar 7, 2016 12:51:43 AM

You may be feeling you are on the outside of the best things in life and too far away from ever fulfilling any of the promises of God for your life; too far from ever seeing your sweet dreams and visions come to pass; too far from reaping the fruits of your labor despite your dedication and long investment; too far from experiencing your expectations for yourself in life; too far behind your expectations of God’s promised blessings; too far behind everyone else in your chosen profession; too behind your colleagues in wisdom, knowledge and understanding; too far behind your classmates despite having a better score; too far behind your peers in the same place, location, church and faith; too far behind the mark of excellence in living; too far behind your parents standard and guardians and investment in your life; too far behind the very best you have been striving to achieve all these years; too far behind in wealth, in academics, too far behind in pay, too far behind in accomplishment and too far in almost all things; but despite the feelings and the conviction in your heart, God is not leaving you behind, through His grace based on love, you are quite close and very near to all the promise, to the location promised, to the place of joy, to your place of peace, to your peaceful wealth and to His manifestation. You may be too far behind in all things, yet God said you are very near.

The only time you will not reach the mark of His glory, the expected mark of your expectations in life, the promised goals according your dreams and visions, and the joyful end in life is when you quit trying every day at any given time despite the challenges; when you give up hope and remain in the discouragement and the disappointment and despair of the devil; when you close your eyes on seeing what and where God is taking you; when you give your eyes and ears and your strength to the many evil things, difficult things and challenging situations that happens every day around you; and when you refused to be encouraged by the transforming word of God and the people of God around you. God had no desire for your failure, for your being far behind, and not accomplishing His plans or your plans and did not put that in the plans for your destiny in life. As a living child of God, every situation that He exposes you will definitely glorify His name when your eyes are fixed on Him.

You felt in all life parameters that you have been left far behind; but men in their thoughts and ways and measurement may have left you behind, but God had not; your parents, your siblings, friends, colleagues, boss, and spouse may have but God had not. When the parameters of men are not favorable and do not promote your desires and dreams, God’s parameters for you will lead to your being favored and reaching His purposes, His plans and His will for your life thereby enabling you to achieve the dreams, visions and goals for your life. I am very sure that despite your feelings of being far behind, you will enjoy God’s favor, you will enjoy peace of heaven on earth, and you will see His glory in the fulfilling of all of His promises to you and your praise Him for your life.

“Nevertheless, do not let this one fact escape your notice, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years is like one day. The Lord does not delay as though He were unable to act and is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is extraordinarily patient toward you. Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses who by faith have testified to the truth of God’s absolute faithfulness, stripping off every unnecessary weight and the sin which so easily and cleverly entangles us, let us run with endurance and active persistence the race that is set before us, looking away from all that will distract us and focusing our eyes on Jesus, who is the Author and Perfecter of faith, who for the joy of accomplishing the goal set before Him endured the cross, disregarding the shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:2-3; 2 Peter 3:8-9.
