NO, NOT ENOUGH TO CHANGE ME

Irrespective of the daily pressure from the forces of darkness against your sincere desire to live for and in Christ Jesus, irrespective of the numerous life challenges and frustrations, failed and unfulfilled plans, the growing number of demands we face, the shame we bare daily as true Christians, irrespective of the fears within and without, and irrespective of all unanswered prayers, they should never be enough for you to change your mind concerning your salvation and decision to follow Christ Jesus to the very end. No reason is powerful and logical enough; none is reasonably right, powerful and acceptable enough for anyone to change his or her mind about the love, the grace, the power and the blessings of God in Christ Jesus that you will receive in this life.

We are in a dangerous time of the trial of our faith and decision to follow Christ Jesus. There are temptation, pressure and confusion everyday on what to do as believers in Christ Jesus. Your determination and decision in Christ Jesus will surely make the desired difference in your life irrespective of the rampage of the devil. Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego in their days did face what you are facing right now in a different way and succeeded, you will also succeed. They told king Nebuchadnezzar in a plain language, thou the heat in the fire had been increase seven times more than normal, it is definitely not enough to compel us in any way to change our mind, faith, believe and decision to follow God and be faithful to Him.

“Therefore at that time certain Chaldeans came forward and accused the Jews. They spoke and said to King Nebuchadnezzar, O king, live forever. You, O king, have made a decree that everyone who hears the sound of the horn, flute, harp, lyre, and psaltery, in symphony with all kinds of music, shall fall down and worship the gold image; and whoever does not fall down and worship shall be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace. There are certain Jews whom you have set over the affairs of the province of Babylon: Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego; these men, O king, have not paid due regard to you. They do not serve your gods or worship the gold image which you have set up. Then Nebuchadnezzar, in rage and fury, gave the command to bring Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. So they brought these men before the king. Nebuchadnezzar spoke, saying to them, is it true, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, that you do not serve my gods or worship the gold image which I have set up? Now if you are ready at the time you hear the sound of the horn, flute, harp, lyre, and psaltery, in symphony with all kinds of music, and you fall down and worship the image which I have made good. But if you do not worship, you shall be cast immediately into the midst of a burning fiery furnace. And who is the god who will deliver you from my hands? Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar; we have no need to answer you in this matter. If that is the case, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us from your hand, O king. But if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we do not serve your gods, nor will we worship the gold image which you have set up.” Daniel 3:8-18

God did not forsake neither did He abandon them. Their ultimate end in that encounter was a testimony of their faith, decision and determination. It should be a source of courage to you as you follow Christ Jesus today. “Then Nebuchadnezzar the king saw and was astounded, and he jumped up and said to his counselors, did we not cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered, True, O king. He answered, Behold, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they are not hurt. And the form of the fourth is like a son of the gods: Daniel 3:24-25. The trials and temptations, the delays and denials, the loneliness and lacks are never enough reasons for Christ to deny you and you to turn from Him. For Prayers Click here
