I want you to know that we serve a willing God, a powerful God, and the only God we can truly trust and depend upon for everything in our lives irrespective of the past or present situations we find ourselves in, irrespective of our age, profession, fame, wealth, and location. He is the only God who truly listens and does that actively, who hears all prayers, and who answers prayers. You really do not know the importance of prayers until you see God answering yours when you truly pray. I am convinced that despite all the delays, frustrations, disappointments, failures, pain, and hopelessness you see every day and everywhere, a day is coming when you will also see the power of God unfolding in your life when He will answer your prayers as Jabez did see after he had prayed for a physical change in his life and situation; as Hannah did see after she had prayed for a son and God gave her Samuel and seven other children; as Bartimaeus son of Timaeus did see after he prayed and asked that his blindness be taken away and Christ Jesus answered and made it possible for him to have his sight restored, and as the parents of John the Baptist did see their son after many years of prayers and waiting and God gave them the greatest preacher and prophet in their time. All these people were overjoyed when the saw their prayers answered by God; when they saw God’s faithfulness and mercy on display in their lives and situations, and when they saw their lives changed for the best thereafter. God will take you to this level soon and He answer your prayers also.

One of the greatest strength of King David was his prayer life, it was not his anointing which was also important and necessary, it was not his relationship with Nathan the priest which was also important and necessary, it was not his wealth, and definitely, it was not his fame as the king. David was a man, a leader, a husband, a father, and a king who knew the essence of prayers and truly dedicated himself and surrendered his life to it. He prayed when things go well and prayed when things do not go well. He prayed when he was successful and prayed when he fails. He prayed when he was distressed and discourage, and prayed when he was strong and happy. He prayed with people and also prayed alone. He was constantly in prayers to God for his life, for his people, and for his leadership; he prayed when the enemies attack and prayed when they recede; he prayed before he goes to war, prayed during the war, and prayed after the war. David was a man who knew that prayer matters in all situations.

David knew that prayer was the only means of expression of ourselves to God, the best means of telling God what is our heart, our feelings, our pains, our expectations, and our joy. He knew that prayer is a means through which we tell God how and what we feel and expect in every situation, the only means of seeking God’s guardianship and help during and after following His precepts and rewritten word. The only means of reminding God of His faithful promises, the best and only true means of living constantly in expectation of His open arms of blessing and visitation is through prayers. “Then you will call to me. You will come and pray to me, and I will answer you. You will seek me, and you will find me because you will seek me with all your heart. Yes, I say, you will find me, and I will restore you to your land. I will gather you from every country and from every place I have scattered you, and I will bring you back to the land from which I had sent you away into exile. I, the Lord have spoken.” Jeremiah 29:12-14

Answer to prayer is the expectation of every Christians and God had promised He will answer us. Yes God will answer your prayer, but you will have to pray consistently and actively; you will have to continue in season and out of season, you will have to be personally committed to active prayers and live a life of constant expectation; you will have to be patient with yourself and always hopeful in Him. God will not forget you, He promised you will come and pray to me, and I will answer you. You will seek me, and you will find me. For prayers, Click here
