“DEAR FATHER DON’T BE LATE IN MY CASE”

Post date: Apr 25, 2018 3:44:30 AM

Let the prophets of Baal gather in their numbers to stop and to prevent you as they did Elijah, the God who answered Elijah on time will answer you and will never be late. In all situations from eternity till this very year, day and time, God had never been late to an event in response to an invitation, never been late to any activity that involves any of His children either the big, small, rich, poor, of any gender, color or profession who are interested to Him, and I am convinced, He will not be late in your own case as you have called on Him and are waiting for Him to show up. Despite what others may do and say, it is completely unheard of, unproven, and impossible for anyone to say that God had been late, even when they gave Him a late invitation to an upcoming event in their lives. God can never be unprepared, uninterested and incapable of handling any situation instantly at any moment in time and in any location under the sun. Nothing can hinder or obstruct His ways, nothing, nothing can delay His plans for your rescue and blessings, nothing can pose a problem to Him when He is walking in your life for good, nothing can render Him ineffective. No one can take God unawares because He knows everything in advance before it exists.

Despite your fears and tears, the delays and the denial, the frustrations, the disappointments, the failures and the rejection, the loneliness and the several questions that you cannot give adequate answers to, the cries in the day and at night, and the bad dreams and feelings; despite what you have heard, seen, think and ever imagine about yourself and your life tomorrow; despite what nature and other people are whispering in your ears every day, and despite what they will ever say, God will never be late in your case. In everything, God has a perfect timing. He is never early and will never be late. He is there with you at the right time, at the place, doing the right things. Be patient and remain faithful. It is worthy to wait on Him till the very end. He was not late when He showed up at the family house of Mary and Martha, the sisters of Lazarus. “Martha then said to Jesus, Master, if You had been here, my brother would not have died. And even now I know that whatever You ask from God, He will grant it to You. Jesus said to her, your brother shall rise again” John 11:21-23.

Elijah was faced with a situation where He needed to glorify the Almighty God before the people and before the prophets of Baal, and when He prayed, God gave him answer. God was not late to show up in that scene that day; the gathering of 450 prophets of Ball, the activities of the onlookers, the trenches around, and the wet woods were unable to prevent God from answering Elijah when he called. “At noon Elijah mocked them, saying, cry aloud, for he is a god; either he is musing, or he has gone aside, or he is on a journey, or perhaps he is asleep and must be awakened. And they cried aloud and cut themselves after their custom with knives and lances until the blood gushed out upon them. Midday passed, and they played the part of prophets until the time for offering the evening sacrifice, but there was no voice, no answer, no one who paid attention. Then Elijah said to all the people, come near to me. And all the people came near him. And he repaired the old altar of the Lord that had been broken down. Then Elijah took twelve stones, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Jacob, to whom the word of the Lord came, saying, Israel shall be your name. And with the stones, Elijah built an altar in the name of the Lord. He made a trench about the altar as great as would contain two measures of seed. He put the wood in order and cut the bull in pieces and laid it on the wood and said, Fill four jars with water and pour it on the burnt offering and the wood. And he said, Do it the second time. And they did it the second time. And he said, Do it the third time. And they did it the third time. The water ran round about the altar, and he filled the trench also with water.” 1 Kings 18:27-35.
