I HEARD HIM SAY TO ME  -  I AM YOUR GOD (2)

When Moses was eighty years old and wondering what had become of his life after spending the first forty years of his life in splendor and comfort with Pharaoh’s household; wondering what will become of his life then and what the future is for him. While tending to the sheep and goats of his father-in-law Jethro; while still having time to go to the holy mountain and worship God; while still in the desert with only goats and sheep that do not belong to him as a companion, God appeared to him in a burning bush and told him clearly ‘I am the God of your ancestors, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. Moses heard it clearly and believed it. He expected something from what he heard and God gave him instructions that will thereafter shape his future and destiny to what He had destined. God told him, I AM SENDING YOU.

When God declares openly, that He is your God, He is about to do something significant, He is about to use you significantly, He is about to set you in a significant place and position, He is about to send you on a significant purpose. He will not leave you in the same place and situation He met you until He finishes His plans and programs. Abraham had a significant change when God gave him that declaration; Moses had a significant change thereafter, Isaac had a significant change thereafter, Jacob also had a significant change in their lives, yours will not be different.

Have made the Almighty your only God in worship with fear, conducts, believe, accept Christ Jesus and follow Him? Then expect the impossible, expect the unthinkable, and expect only what God can and will do in your life. His acts, His blessings, and His love are far beyond all that any man can imagine in the best of his or her thoughts, dreams, and labor. God always takes His people beyond their expectations. That was what He did with, to, and through Abraham. God spoke to Abram when he was nothing; when he had no child; when he had no big dream; or had any wonderful revelation or wisdom concerning his future, but God in His love and power gave him these promises that the whole world, all races, all good, all bad, and all evil religious groups are looking up to. He said to him, ‘I will give you many descendants; they will become a great nation; I will bless you; I will make your name famous, you will be a blessing’. These were promises beyond Abram’s imaginations, far beyond the best of his abilities, and the best of his consistent labor; they were promises that only God can do for any human being irrespective of time, season, location, and any form of help or assistance. But best of all, God did not attach any conditionality to His performance, the only best option for Abraham was to believe, accept, and follow the given instructions.

When God says ‘I am your God’, then there is something bigger at stake for you beyond dreams, beyond help from anyone, beyond labor, beyond actions, beyond location, beyond age, beyond gender, beyond nationality, and beyond words. The only option left for you is to believe God, to follow Him and abide by His instructions. Abraham did that and became a success beyond his knowledge and ability and you can also, believe Him. What you believe and who you believe can change the dynamics of your life and your future completely. Abraham believed all the words he heard, complied with all the instructions that followed, lived the rest of his life in expectation of those words, and he lived to see all of them fulfilled in his lifetime. The Holy Scripture gave us this assurance, faith comes only by hearing the word and promises of God, believing the word we hear gives motivation; correct actions open the door for their possibility, and expecting them to be fulfilled becomes an every day living irrespective of the things set in places by Satan or his agents to hinder. Faith comes by hearing and believing God’s words, not hearing or believing our dreams, not following our imaginations, not trusting the word of men’s promises, but only the word of God. Remember His words will never fail despite delays, frustrations, or individual or collective weaknesses. God’s blessings come through faithfulness. For prayers, Click here
