GREAT CHANGE IN THREE MONTHS

Post date: Jan 11, 2013 5:06:16 AM

God cannot dwell in you, be with you, and refuse to speak on your behalf at the appropriate time. He cannot be in you and fail to bless your life extraordinarily. Your acceptance of Christ Jesus as your Lord and savior, your strong belief in His written and spoken word, and your continuous diligence in following Him even with great physical discomfort and lack cannot go unrewarded. He rewards those with an active living relationship and are committed to excellence irrespective of the cost or what they will ever give up to accomplish such. He rewards everyone who will ever decide to put aside pride and self-accomplishments in life to follow Him and His words.

Just one blessing from God is enough to last you the rest of your life. One fulfilled promise is enough to take you far beyond your dreams. My prayer for you is that, that one blessing, that one fulfilled promise, that one word will come to pass in your life very soon. It was just one fulfilled promised that changed and immortalized Mary, one fulfilled promise gave Sarah and Hannah the everlasting joy they desired, and made them to laugh away their years of disrespect, sorrow, shame and anger among men forever. Just one blessing is enough and it will come.

Those enabling promises of God are unending, they are inexhaustible, and their fullness in the life of any person are always far beyond the best explaination any human being can give irrespective of their level of knowledge and understanding. Just one promise cherished, and held in high expectation through the years has the potential to unravel the joy of the Lord in your life. The very best of human imagination will never be able to unravel the very least of God’s ability and love for His children, but your belief and tenacity in season and out of season can do that.

The best reason to give for the choice, anointing, and subsequent acceptance of David as King in Israel began by God speaking to Samuel about a man who was after His own heart. That is, loving God with a passion and doing everything to please Him even when it hurts you and your personality. There are many people who love God passionately, but are not willing to trade in their hard earned personality to preserve that continuous love.

David was a man with passion and zeal for God, he spared nothing in showing his love, but a time came in his life that the fear of making a mistake rubbed him of that passion momentarily. During the reign of King Saul, the ark of covenant was taken away by the Philistines in a battle, and David after becoming King, decided to bring it back to Israel. In those days, the presence of the Ark of covenant or Ark of the Lord was assurance of the presence and the blessing of God.

In the celebration of the return of the Ark, with sacrifices, trumpeting and dancing, Uzzah was killed because he touched to support the Ark with his hands in violation of God’s covenant. Uzzah as an Israelite by birth was entitled to the covenant blessings but was not permitted by the service covenant to handle the Ark. On seeing his death, David was sad and afraid, and decided to leave the Ark in Obededom’s house for a while, and within three months, the bible confirmed, God opening the doors of blessings to the household of Obededom in an amazing way.

“David was afraid of the Lord that day and said, how can the ark of the Lord come to me? So David was not willing to take the ark of the Lord to him into the City of David; but he took it aside into the house of Obed-edom the Gittite. And the ark of the Lord remained in the house of Obed-edom the Gittite for three months, and the Lord blessed Obed-edom and all his household. And it was told King David, The Lord has blessed the house of Obed-edom and all that belongs to him, because of the ark of God. So David went and brought up the ark of God from the house of Obed-edom into the City of David with rejoicing.” 2 Samuel 6:9-12

The acceptance of the Ark by Odededom into his house despite David’ fear, despite the dead of Uzzah was all he needed to change his life and that of his entire household forever in just three months to the envy of King David. God can and will bless you also. For prayers Click here
