"BECAUSE OF GOD’S LOVE (4)"

“Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will reveal to us later. And we believers also groan, even though we have the Holy Spirit within us as a foretaste of future glory, for we long for our bodies to be released from sin and suffering. We, too, wait with eager hope for the day when God will give us our full rights as his adopted children, including the new bodies he has promised us. We were given this hope when we were saved. If we already have something, we don’t need to hope for it. But if we look forward to something we don’t yet have, we must wait patiently and confidently. What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us? Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else? Who dares accuse us whom God has chosen for his own? No one, for God himself has given us right standing with himself. Who then will condemn us? No one, for Christ Jesus died for us and was raised to life for us, and he is sitting in the place of honor at God’s right hand, pleading for us. Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? As the Scriptures say, for your sake we are killed every day; we are being slaughtered like sheep. No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us. And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow, not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below, indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:18, 23-25, 31-38

In the passage above, Paul enumerated the struggles of believers and being a chief prosecutor of the faith before and now a believer and follower of the same faith he tried to destroy said he is confident that nothing can separate you from the wonderful love of the Almighty God, the love He demonstrated and made efficient through the revelation of Christ Jesus to the world. He was confident in his time and I am still confident now that nothing can separate us from the love of the Almighty God. Nothing can separate you from God’s Love irrespective of its source, its power, and its proven history in the hands of your enemies. God’s love for you is perfect and strong and better than everything else the world can ever offer or do against you even in their most wicked thoughts, words and actions.

These are some of the things threathening and falsely trying to prove to our thoughts and the eyes of men that we have been abandoned and forsaken by God and that He no longer loves as He had said; these are the daily troubles, calamities, persecutions, hungry, destitute, dangers, and even the threat of being killed that we face each day in ways we cannot imagin, yet we read Paul saying that he s convinced that nothing, the ones mentioned above and the once not mentioned is able or can separate us from God’s love. The scripture went on to mention a few more spiritual and physical things that are also threatening us and causing doubts, and questions in our mind daily as we walk with the Lord and live the life of a true Christian. He said neither angels from heaven nor demons from hell; neither our fears of what we are experiencing today nor any of the worries we have about our tomorrow and our future; not even the powers released from hell to afflict and cause damage or extreme sorrow is able or can separate us from God’s love. He went on to say no power in the sky above or powers in the earth below, and indeed, nothing in all creation irrespective of its name and nature will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.
