WHAT THEY SAY ABOUT THE ANOINTING (2)

Is Saul also among the prophets? That sentence was made by the people who were observing Saul from a distance, and it came just after Samuel had anointed Saul as king in Israel; it was a fulfillment of a prophetic word from Samuel after anointing him declaring the plans, the purpose, the desire, the destiny, and the choice of God for Saul. Saul, leaving the presence of Samuel on his way home, meets a band of prophets, the Spirit of God took control of him and he began to prophesy in their midst. That was never expected by the people but it was God’s intent for his life and who can stop God from turning things around in the life of a person? Who can stop God from turning you and your situations around for good forever? Who can stop the anointing and the anointed of God from being what and who God wants and fulfilling what God had planned, said, and also destined? Your anointing will make people talk about you in ways that had never been before because they will see the physible and positive change, they will see the difference, but they will understand except they know that it is as a result of the anointing.

The people, Samuel and Saul - “Then Samuel took the flask of oil and poured it on Saul’s head, kissed him, and said, has the Lord not anointed you as ruler over His inheritance Israel? When you leave me today ---; Then it happened when Saul turned his back to leave Samuel, God changed his heart; and all those signs came to pass that day. When they came to the hill Gibeah, behold, a group of prophets met him, and the Spirit of God came on him mightily, and he prophesied under divine guidance among them. Now when all who knew Saul previously saw that he actually prophesied now by inspiration with the prophets, the people said one to another, what has happened to Saul, who is nobody but the son of Kish? Is Saul also among the prophets? And a man from there answered, but who is the father of the others? So it became a proverb, is Saul also among the prophets?” 1 Samuel 10:1-2, 9-12. The anointing will not only change you; it will change what people say of you, it will change their views concerning you, it will change their desires of control over you and it will change the way they treat and regard you from that day on. God will not anoint you and keep you hiding forever. He has a plan for everyone He anoints, for everyone he saves, and for everyone He chooses. “You are the light of Christ to the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good deeds and moral excellence, and recognize and honor and glorify your Father who is in heaven. Do not think that I came to do away with or undo the Law of Moses or the writings of the Prophets; I did not come to destroy but to fulfill.” Matthew 5:14-17. Saul saw and experienced the change and the people took note of him thereafter.

David – “May the Lord answer you David in the day of trouble, may the name of the God of Jacob set you securely on high and defend you in battle; may He send you help from the sanctuary His dwelling place and support and strengthen you from Zion. May He remember all your meal offerings and accept your burnt offering. May He grant you your heart’s desire and fulfill all your plans. We will sing joyously over your victory, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners. May the Lord fulfill all your petitions. Now I know that the Lord saves His anointed; He will answer him from His holy heaven with the saving strength of His right hand. Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we will remember and trust in the name of the Lord our God. They have bowed down and fallen, but we have risen and stood upright” Psalm 201-8. The anointing gives security, defends in battle; enables help from the sanctuary, support, strength, remembrance, fulfill heart desires, joyful victory, and sets up our banners. It makes the Lord fulfill all our petitions. God saves His anointed; answer him from heaven with the strength of His right hand. For prayers Click here
