GOD IS STILL WITH ME

“But now, O Jacob, listen to the Lord who created you. O Israel, the one who formed you says; do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are mine. When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. For I am the Lord, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior. I gave Egypt as a ransom for your freedom; I gave Ethiopia and Seba in your place. Others were given in exchange for you. I traded their lives for yours because you are precious to me. You are honored, and I love you. Do not be afraid, for I am with you.  I will gather you and your children from east and west.” Isaiah 43:1-5

If everything else in this life will fail, the word of God will never fail, the blessings of God will never stop, the leading of God will never end in our destruction despite the pains, and the love of God will never fail to redeem people from sin and destruction. Because God is unfailing and all of ways are unfailing, we will do ourselves a great favor to completely put all our hopes and trust absolutely in Him despite the situations we may have and our locations on earth.

Our feelings will often times prove us wrong in many ways and in many things; our ability to do what we desire will often times fail us; our strength will most times be inadequate to carry us to the next level of our desires; our knowledge and wisdom in certain matters will often time fail to produce our expectations; despite all that we will ever experience as children of the living God, we should never allow any of our previous failures in life to discourage us from following the Lord Jesus, trusting in His name alone and walking with Him every day.

Often time, life will be filled with things that we never desired, thoughts that does not enhance our image as Christians; things we never prayed for and things that makes the heart sad, weak and sick, but despite this feelings and thoughts, it is quite appropriate to remember that though the feelings may be there, though the thoughts of loneliness is so overwhelming, God has not departed from us and we are never alone, God is still with us.

Some of the reasons for the feelings and thoughts of loneliness are failures to get to our life desires after all our best efforts; after many years of struggles, prayers and fasting in life without success; after many delays, frustrations, disappointments and temptations from everywhere; when we see people who have not done as much as we have, have not prayed as much, fast as much, study as much, and struggle as much surpassing us in almost every area. But behind those failures and feelings of loneliness, God is still with us and will never leave us alone and behind.

The children of Israel felt abandoned in the wilderness on their way to the Promised Land, but God did not abandon them; they felt sad when the enemies came up against them, but God was still with them; they felt disappointed when they reached the bank of the Red Sea, but God was not disappointed; they felt sorrowful when they saw the Egyptian army closing in on them when they could not cross the Red Sea, but God was confident in what He will do; they were thirsty and hungry, not knowing what else to do but complain, God provided manner, quail and water that lasted the rest of their journey.

God will never leave you lonely forever despite the feelings and the thoughts; He will never abandon His own children despite what the devil will do and say against them. Jesus Christ on the cross felt lonely and abandon, but the Almighty Father was still with Him; He cried for thirst, He felts the pains of the cruelty of men, but despite all that, the Almighty Father was still with Him. That same God is with you and will continue to be with you till the very end. “No, I will not abandon you as orphans, I will come to you.” John 14:18. For prayers, Click here
