I ASK FOR MORE MY DEAR LORD

Post date: Jan 20, 2015 4:57:28 AM

“If any of you is deficient in wisdom, let him ask of the giving God Who gives to everyone liberally and ungrudgingly, without reproaching or faultfinding, and it will be given him. Only it must be in faith that he asks with no wavering, no hesitating, and no doubting. For the one who wavers, hesitates, doubts is like the billowing surge out at sea that is blown hither and thither and tossed by the wind.” James 1:5-6

Despite what you have right now, more is never enough, and you should not be ashamed to ask for more; do not allow your situations to cloud your inner desire for more or stop you from going before God and presenting your request for more on His feet. Irrespective of your location, God will never withhold any good thing from you when you ask, He will never starve you of any of His amazing blessings when you knock; He will never be angry with you when we ask for more, He will never felt disturbed when you bother Him for more, and He will never feel offended that you are asking for your asking for more in your daily request. It is a fact that our God never runs out of resources, never runs out of love and mercy, never runs out healing grace, never runs out of restoring ability, and never runs out of sustaining wisdom and knowledge.

In everything and at every moment in our lives and relationship, God encourages us to be active in asking Him for more of His goodness and mercy as we go about our daily duties; He desires that we keep asking for a renewed grace to always stand firm in the truth of the gospel and strong even in the presence of enforced evil from the pits of hell; He desires we should keep asking for a renewed energy after every physical or spiritual encounter, a renewed anointing after every victory in all events and occasion, a renewal of our energy because we run so quickly daily, a renewed daily peace and more peace because our level of peace determined our level of clarity and focus in pursuing our dreams and desires in life. God wants us to keep increasing in every good thing in our relationship with Him and others daily, in our level of joy and satisfaction daily and also to increase in our faith; there are no provisions for us to relent in our daily desires and efforts to make a remarkable difference wherever we are in the Holy Scriptures.

“Keep on asking and it will be given you; keep on seeking and you will find; keep on knocking reverently and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who keeps on asking receives; and he who keeps on seeking finds; and to him who keeps on knocking, the door will be opened. Or what man is there of you, if his son asks him for a loaf of bread, will hand him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will hand him a serpent? If you then, evil as you are, know how to give good and advantageous gifts to your children, how much more will your Father Who is in heaven perfect as He is give good and advantageous things to those who keep on asking Him.” Matthew 7:7-11

The grace that brought you victory yesterday may not sustain you in the battles of today, ask for more; the success of yesterday are too small compared to the challenges of today, ask for more; all the wealth of yesterday combined can never meet the increase in demands of today without an increase, ask for more; the wages you joyfully received yesterday can never be enough to meet the ever increasing inflation of today, ask for more; the tolerance and patience you had yesterday is not enough to meet with the new methods the devil is using in almost everything to test your stress level today, ask for more. Don’t limit yourself by asking less, don’t allow the devil deceive you in hiding your desires for more; don’t allow any frustration speak impossibility to you, and don’t give in to the failures, sins, weakness and anger of yesterday, God had destined you to succeed and the devil is only trying to frustrate you into submitting to his failing thoughts and dreams. God is not going to give you as the world would do; He is giving you more than enough and to spare. What is it you need? What is it you have? Always ask for more; receive as you ask through faith in Jesus name. Amen. For prayers, Click here
