LORD, THERE ARE PRESSURES EVERYWHERE

Right from the beginning of the creation of man, at God’s Garden for Adam and Eve, Satan had been out to pressure men with what he knows concerning man to go out of the plans of God for their lives and for humanity; he had been using physical things to confound and confuse men, using adversities in living, adversities in finances, adversities in marriage, adversities in homes, adversities in family, adversities in seeking and maintaining love, adversities in having good friends, colleagues and better relationships, adversities in not meeting up with basic needs, adversities in reaching out to others and our physical and spiritual lacks to pressurize us. He had using our failures to meet needed our expectations, our weakness in desiring things, and using the delays we experience in waiting for the promises of God to pressurize us to doing what is inappropriate before God and contrary to His word, demands, and instructions to us. Unfortunately, these pressures are increasing daily and the delays we experience is annoying and the people are watching and waiting to see what we will do next.

Though we have pressure everywhere and in almost everything, God is still looking for men and women everywhere who will stand by His words despite the mounting pressure; He is still looking and seeking for men and women who will rather go with Him and His words than go with the devil because of the pressure. God is looking for and seeking men and women who will commit to His words despite what they see and experienced and will experience. He is looking for men and women who will ignore these pressures to disobey Him for temporal satisfaction. When pressured for anything anywhere despite the situations and the circumstances, always remember that God is still God and He will not for any reason deviate from His principles but rather, He will fulfill His words and carry out His plans in the lives of those who will stand with Him till the end. May I announce to you that the end of that pressure is coming, its end is just around the corner, God will see you through, He will reward your faithfulness in Him and His words. He will not fail you and He expects that you will not fail Him because of the pressure.

“You behave as if you are already filled with spiritual wisdom and in need of nothing more. Already you have become rich in spiritual gifts. You in your conceit have ascended your thrones and become kings without us, and how I wish that it were true and that you did reign as kings so that we might reign with you. For I think, God has exhibited us apostles at the end of the line, like men sentenced to death and paraded as prisoners in a procession, because we have become a spectacle to the world, a show in the world’s amphitheater, both to angels and to men. We are regarded as fools for Christ, but you are so wise in Christ, we are weak, but you are strong, you are highly esteemed, but we are dishonored. To this present hour, we are both hungry and thirsty, we are continually poorly dressed, and we are roughly treated, and wander homeless. We work for our living, working hard with our own hands. When we are reviled and verbally abused, we bless. When we are persecuted, we take it patiently and endure. When we are slandered, we try to be conciliatory and answer softly. We have become like the scum of the world, the dregs of all things, even until now. I do not write these things to shame you but to warn and advise you as my beloved children. For even if you were to have ten thousand teachers to guide you in Christ, yet you would not have many fathers who led you to Christ and assumed responsibility for you, for I became your father in Christ Jesus through the good news of salvation. So I urge you, be imitators of me just as a child imitates his father. For this reason, I have sent Timothy to you, who is my beloved and faithful child in the Lord, and he will remind you of my way of life in Christ my conduct and my precepts for godly living, just as I teach everywhere in every church. Now some of you have become arrogant and pretentious, as though I were not coming to see you.”
