THOSE GOOD THINGS IN ME, COME FORTH

You may not have known it, you may not have seen it, you may not have been told and you may not have dream it before, but there is definitely many good things in you, God did deposit them in you before you were born and the God who gave then to you will keep them alive until they begin to manifest themselves to your own advantage. Before now, the situations confronting you had been clouding your mind to discovering these realities, closing your eyes from seeing beyond the daily problems, and preventing you from moving forward and breaking the evil cycle of lack, endless complains and continuous self-pity.

Those good things in you will not die and must not die, they were given to you for good, to help you, to bless you and to make you come out of every adversity and shame, and by God’s grace you will make good use of them and glorify God with them. Despite all the tough times and hardship, all that you have been going through in several areas of your life; despite your feelings and the words of people around, you are never useless and will never be; you may not have money but you have something else that money cannot buy; there is definitely something good and excellent in you that must be brought forth to limelight soon.

There is a deposit of something good and excellent in you that must not remain idle and must not be discarded for any reason. Though Jabez started on the contrary side of life, with pains, sorrow and clouded future caused by what his parents went through, God had some good things in Him and through self-discovery and earnest prayers to the Almighty God, he was quite able to come out of those sorrows, pains and lived the life that God had destined for him before he was born. The good thing in him was brought forth to light to his benefit.

Abraham was following his father and his kindred, relying on them and their decisions until the day God revealed to him what He wants to do in and through him, asking him to separate himself because there was something excellent in him that needed to be manifested. Abraham followed the instructions of God and became the greatest in his time and the father of the present day Israel. David was in the forest tending to his family cattle when God send Samuel to call him out and anointed him; that anointing brought forth the good things and the very best that God deposited in him before he was born. Moses was in the forest doing menial job when God sent forth His angel to give him a message about what he was born to be.

Timothy had something inside of him that he did not know until Paul came into his life with these divine words “For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you.” God has not gotten that He has deposited something good and excellent in you; God did not forget the good things He deposited in their lives, at the right time, in the appointed place, and before the right audience, those things were manifested to God’s glory and these men became an instant blessing to their people.

“Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord, nor of me his prisoner, but share in suffering for the gospel by the power of God, who saved us and called us to a holy calling, not because of our works but because of his own purpose and grace, which he gave us in Christ Jesus before the ages began, and which now has been manifested through the appearing of our Savior Christ Jesus, who abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel, for which I was appointed a preacher and apostle and teacher, which is why I suffer as I do. But I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed, and I am convinced that he is able to guard until that Day what has been entrusted to me. Follow the pattern of the sound words that you have heard from me, in the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus. By the Holy Spirit who dwells within us, guard the good deposit entrusted to you.” 2 Timothy 1:8-14. For prayers, Click here
