PRAY GOD TO MEET OUR NEEDS

“The poor and needy seek water, but there is none, their tongues fail for thirst. I, the Lord will hear them, I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them. I will open rivers in desolate heights, and fountains in the midst of the valleys, I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water. I will plant in the wilderness the cedar and the acacia tree, the myrtle, and the oil tree, I will set in the desert the cypress tree and the pine and the box tree together, that they may see and know, and consider and understand together, that the hand of the Lord has done this, and the Holy One of Israel has created it.” Isaiah 41:17-20.

There are so many unmet needs every day and everywhere despite our daily struggles to meet most of them, despite our faithfulness to God, to man and to our works, despite our commitments to excellence and truthfulness, despite our openness and sincerity, despite our friendliness and love, and despite living the life of Jesus Christ. These needs are necessary and real, these needs will change our lives and our ways, these needs will give us peace and hope, these needs will praise the name of our God in the presence of our enemies and friends, yet we do not have. These needs did not come as a result of our past, or present mistakes in life, or the failure to take adequate actions when needed, or the failure to notice impending disaster. We just one day realize we have these pending needs and it seems it is going away, but God in His words had promised, they will go away, you will meet the needs, you will have them, and you will rejoice because you will have them by His power and by His mercy.

We know that there are things that will and had to happen that men will never be able to explain why, will never be able to know how, will never be able to understand, and will never be able to consider in their lives and in their ways despite knowledge, wisdom, and wealth, but there is absolutely nothing happening or will ever happen or had ever happened in the physical or spiritual team that God does not know, does not understand, and cannot change. There is no location that will prevent Him even when such prevents man and there are no situations that cannot respond to His words and commands accordingly.

In Isaiah 41:17 we read, -- “The poor and needy seek water, but there is none, their tongues fail for thirst.” These people needed water, they seek for it, struggle to get it, work to have it, and even travel to places to have it but they could not, their efforts fail, their understanding fail and there was no help while their thirst persist. The resulting effect of their needs was that their tongues fail. They could not speak because of dried tongues, they not communicate because of dry throats and their bodies become week because of lack of water. But this is the word of God despite the situation and despite the location when they prayed and ask, God said, I the Lord will hear them; I the God of Israel will not forsake them. He went on and said, their location and their situations and the effects of their thirst and needs will stop Him, even when they have been locked up in desolate places, He will open rivers there for them to satisfy their thirst, He will even open fountains of water to satisfy their thirst in the midst of the valleys. Even when they find themselves in the wilderness, they see a pool of water to drink from, even when they find themselves in a dry land, they also find springs of water to satisfy their thirst and needs. Even the situation was so bad that plants cant grow there, God said He will plant seeds in the wilderness, He will plant the cedar and the acacia tree, the myrtle and the oil tree, the cypress tree and the pine and the box tree together, and when the waters begin flowing again when thirst is met, they will see, they will know, they will consider, and they will understand together, that what is happening to them is nothing else but the hand of the Lord has done this, and the Holy One of Israel has created it and had enabled it. What are your needs today? There is nothing impossible, with God, that needs can and will be met. God can and will do it. For prayers, Click here
