GIVE ME ANSWERS DEAR LORD (3)

No matter how painful life is right now, no matter how painful it is to pray, no matter how long it takes to pray through a particular issue, no matter how much delays we have suffered, no matter the afflictions, the insults, the frustrations, the weaknesses and the shame we suffered while waiting to receive answers to our prayer, when our prayers are heard and answered by our God, we will definitely have joy and relief. Answer to prayers will definitely bring us joy, relief, peace, physical and spiritual restoration, hope, confidence in God, strength of mind, satisfaction in living and in looking up to the future that God had promised us and salvation to others. While answered prayers give us all these, it also brings fear in the hearts and minds of our enemies, it forces them to think otherwise, retreat and refrain from their evil activities. Answered prayers will always remain a win for us in every situation, in every aspect of living, believing, trusting and walking with God and with man irrespective of the circumstances and our locations. God wants to answer us, He had promised to answer us, and He will answer us.

When God answers you, great things will follow, feeble minds and hands and hearts, and body will receive strength and will be restored to what they should be. “Come and hear, all ye that fear God, and I will declare what He hath done for my soul. I cried unto Him with my mouth, and He was extolled with my tongue. If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me: but verily God hath heard me, He hath attended to the voice of my prayer. Blessed be God, which hath not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me.” Psalms 66:16-20

While we generally think answered prayers are only in the area of needed physical or spiritual provisions, answered prayer also comes with God’s unending mercies, forgiveness, compassion, provisions, love, and the abundance of His goodness. Prayer is not only necessary now and in times of trouble, it is necessary always, in times of joy and in times of sadness, and it is also important for and in every situation and circumstances, it is required by God and it should be the real strength of every true and faithful Christian. In prayer, we communicate our needs and desires to God, we reveal our inner minds, thoughts, wishes, and pains, we express what will give us joy as we think and understand the situation, but in answering us, God is never limited to our understanding, or our thoughts or imaginations. “When the Lord turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream. Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing, then said they among the heathen, the Lord hath done great things for them. The Lord hath done great things for us whereof we are glad. Turn again our captivity, O Lord as the streams in the south. They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.” Psalms 126:1-6

“Ask and keep on asking and it will be given to you; seek and keep on seeking and you will find; knock and keep on knocking and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who keeps on asking receives, and he who keeps on seeking finds, and to him who keeps on knocking, it will be opened. Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will instead give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will instead give him a snake? If you then, evil sinful by nature as you are, know how to give good and advantageous gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven, perfect as He gives what is good and advantageous to those who keep on asking Him. So then, in everything, treat others the same way you want them to treat you, for this is the essence of the Law and the writings of the Prophets.” Matthew 7:7-12. That is the promise and He will keep it. Don’t give up because of the pains and delays in prayers; don’t be discourage because of the continuous activities of evil against you, God had promised to give you answers, to place you on the advantage, to uphold you till you receive answer, and He will do it, He will answer you, and He will bless you.
