LET ME NOT WAIT TOO LONG

Dear Lord, I have many questions that I am yet to answer in my life, in my marriage, in my profession, and in the lives of my children, please give me clear answers. The questions keep increasing every day, and they are coming from all directions, from everyone who knows me before and now, and have seen and have heard of my continuous situation. I have prayed over the situation, and will keep praying; I have trusted you for victory, and will keep trusting; Lord I have been waiting, and I will keep on waiting for your answer; I have loved everyone I see and know, and will keep loving them even when they fail to love me; I have given gifts to many and will keep giving till I will begin to receive; please let me not wait for too long Oh my dear Lord for the anticipated reward of my godly activities.

It is true that there are many situations that have defiled all human solutions and wisdom; there are many questions in the heart of men that have never been answered. The search for solution is driving people to directions that are unethical, unhealthy, and unacceptable for Christian growth. I know there is no question that You do not have an answer to, there is no situation You cannot change, and I know You will not keep me waiting excessively long in this situation from today. Often times, it might seem that things will never change in your life, but when God gives His answer, I know there will be a change. The poor feelings and experience of today will not last too long. Habakkuk said: “Though the fig tree does not blossom and there is no fruit on the vines, though the product of the olive fails and the fields yield no food, though the flock is cut off from the fold and there are no cattle in the stalls. Yet I will rejoice in the Lord; I will exult in the victorious God of my salvation” Habakkuk 3:17-18

The God who fought for Jehoshaphat, delivered him and his people, and made to take the spoil from their enemies will fight your battle and you will hold on to the peace that comes from Him alone rather than the confusion that comes from what you see, what you hear, and what you are currently experiencing. The God of Jehoshaphat proved to believers that position, wealth, strength, location, experience and profession are no immunity to confusion. Jehoshaphat was a king in Israel who desired peace among his people and their neighbors, he desires the presence of God and did not want any confrontation with people, but his peaceful desires did not match up with the demands of the enemies of his people.

Jehoshaphat went to God with the testimonies of what God had done before presenting His own case and his expectations, though he was confused on what to do, he was not confused on what to say in the time of prayer. That was what saved Jehoshaphat and the people of Israel when the enemies came. God will fight every bad news coming to you. He will fight every evil group gathering against you. He will overtake their weapons, and He will turn them against themselves.

You may be saying that you are confused, your life seems to a series of accidents, I am getting nowhere despite years of struggles. In all these questions, the Lord is your shepherd and will never leave you or forsake you, He will keep you safe, the twists and turns in life will never keep you in a permanent negative situation. You may say, Lord I am falling and failing financially, the Lord will not keep you in this situation too long. God is saying to you, you shall not want, His anointing is with you and will change you and change your situation.

Your dream might have been long, but you will not wait too long. Your wait might time had been shortened; you will not wait too long. Hannah and Jehoshaphat waited, and God did not fail them. Joseph , David, and Paul succeeded, and by God’s grace, you will succeed. The God you serve will not allow you to wait too long and will give you succeed. Amen
