Job was a man who had committed himself to prayers, to faithfulness, to true worship, and to walk in all righteousness before God and before men. His actions were not hidden from family, from his spouse, from his children, from his servants, from all his business associates and from all of his friends. It was an action that God was proud of and Satan noticed it with envy, anger and a desire to stop him. I am convinced Satan tried his best to take down Job without success before he had the opportunity to have a conversation with God concerning Job. He acknowledge God as the one who kept Job, who provided security and blessings to Job, he acknowledge there was nothing he could do to stop Job or destroy him as long God was actively involved in Job’s life and he acknowledged it is only if God will allow him, that is when he can afflict Job and it was until God gave him the permission that he succeeded to torch Job’s wealth, Job’s children, Job’s business, Job’s health and everything concerning Job. He succeeded even separating his best friends and business associates. Satan turned his friends and family members to become his closed accusers and tormentors. Satan took away every man or woman who could provide help of any kind to Job and ensured Job lost everything without hope for recovery or restoration. But one thing Job did not lost was his dertemination to remain faithful even in that severe state of loneliness, rejection and accusation, and thanks be to God who will always remain faithful in his plans and in act in His fullness to restore whatever Satan had taken, stollen or destroy

“When the day came for the heavenly beings to appear before the Lord, Satan was there among them. The Lord asked him, what have you been doing? Satan answered I have been walking here and there roaming around the earth. Did you notice my servant Job? The Lord asked. There is no one on earth as faithful and good as he is. He worships me and is careful not to do anything evil. Satan replied, would Job worship you if he got nothing out of it? You have always protected him and his family and everything he owns. You blessed everything he does, and you have given him enough cattle to fill the whole country. But now suppose you take away everything he has, he will curse you to your face. All right the Lord said to Satan, everything he has is in your power, but you must not hurt Job himself, so Satan left.” Job 1:9-12

Satan’s decision against Job was that of wickedness and Job’s decision was not to fight with Satan but to remain faithful to God and God will never ignore true and committed faithfulness to him despite the chanllenges, the loneliness, the rejection by men, the humiliations from family and friends and the insults we receive. Note that Satan hated Job for being blessed by God, for being defended by God, and for being sustained by God. Satan is not waiting until you are after him or do something wrong before hating you. He hates Christ and hates everyone who follows Him and submit themselves to Him, but in all situation, Christ will not let down everyone who truly believes, and follows Him faithfully. Your faithfulness to God is important and that is will quicken your restoration, maintain your blessings and bring rewards in every thing else you do.

Job’s life was a life of true, real, and practical committed to God in private and in public. Did you know while God commends and blesses our ritheousness in Christ, Satan is always offended in it and angry in our walk in the righteousness of Christ? That is one reason Satan promotes and encourages self-righteousness among his people and even among believers. Self-righteousness is always an attraction to Satan and it is pleasing and acceptatble to him at all times irrespective of your location, profeesion and religious titles. Satan is the athor of self-righteouness and pride. He humiliated Job but God restored him, Satan destroyed Job” wealth and family but God restored all and gave him even more. That God who restored Job will do your own. Prayer Request Click here
