TAKE ME BEYOND MY EXPECTATIONS OH LORD (21)

Nebuchadnezzar was openly angry with Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego for their bold response to him in the presence of everyone, in that anger, he commanded the furnace to be heated seven times hotter than usual, and it was done; he commanded strong men in his army to tie up and to throw Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego into the furnace of blazing fire and they did, but to their surprise, the unexpected started happening immediately and the people waiting and watching and looking to see what will happen to Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego first saw the flame of the fire killing all the men who carried up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego and throw them into the furnace.

Without changing their mind; without changing their decisions, and without fear of their resolved determination, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego did not resist the men or did they in any way resist or argue with Nebuchanezzar while they were being bound with their complete clothes on. These three men prayed and trusted the Almighty God, but still, with their faith, they saw the command of Nebuchadnezzar being carried out, they saw themselves being bound and thrown into the burning fire. Why did God allow that to happen when He heard and answer their prayers? Why did God allow that when they were giving Him honor before the people? Why did not God not rescue them before they were thrown into the burning fire? Why did not God allow such to happen to faithful men? But God allowed it to show His power, God allowed it but He did not approve it, God allowed it not to test the three men but to show Nebuchadnezzar and the people waiting and watching that He can still deliver His people even when they are in the burning fire, He can still rescue and deliver and restore His children who put their absolute trust in Him from every situation irrespective of who is behind the situation. I am very convinced that God can still deliver you from that situation, He will rescue you whole, He will deliver you from their hands and from their plans, and He will bless you in their presence for His name to be glorified.

This was Nebuchadnezzar's confession and the response he heard from the people waiting and watching. “Then Nebuchadnezzar the king looked and was astounded, and he jumped up and said to his counselors, did we not throw three men who were tied up into the midst of the fire? They replied to the king, certainly, O king. He answered, look, I see four men untied, walking around in the midst of the fire, and they are not hurt. And the appearance of the fourth is like a son of the gods. Then Nebuchadnezzar approached the door of the blazing furnace and said, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, servants of the Most High God, come out of there come here. Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego came out of the midst of the fire. The satraps, the prefects, the governors, and the king’s counselors gathered around them and saw that in regard to these men the fire had no effect on their bodies, their hair was not singed, their clothes were not scorched or damaged, even the smell of smoke was not on them.” Daniel 3:24-27

Beyond the expectation of the people waiting and watching and before Nebuchadnezzar, God did what they never expected, they people saw what they could never imagine and in their presence, Nebuchadnezzar knew no one else did it but the Almighty God and he acknowledged the God who rescued and delivered these three men openly.These three men were thrown into the fire bound, but they walked out unbound, they were thrown in as victims but they walked out victorious, they were thrown into the fire but God who answer prayers in His own rescued and prevented the fire from consuming them. Our God is able to deliver and to rescue and to bless you even when wickedness against you are elevated; our God is able to rescue and restore you even when unknown and unwanted fear refuses to go away; our God is able to do miraculous things in your life even when all of your known and unknown enemies are becoming bold and rich and very powerful, and He will do it for you.
