LORD, I MUST NOT GO EMPTY

Daniel was a man who knew his God and had a strong and clear desire to see God prove himself in his own life, in everything he did, and in everywhere he went, and God did not in every way disappoint him. To fulfill his desires, he chooses two things to commit himself in doing: they were: (1) prayers, and (2) holiness or righteousness. In these two things that Daniel personally decided to do continuously irrespective of situation, location and position. While doing these things, the devil tempted and severely tried him; men tested, tried and wickedly punished him; but despite all that, Daniel never gave up, never look back and never back out. At the end, Daniel was a huge success because God responded by showing Himself strong, mighty, willing, and worthy to be praised, trusted and honored. That is what God will do in your life as you persist in the things that glorify His name.

God did not prove Himself weak in the life of Daniel and will not prove Himself weak in your own life if you persist in the things He had ordained for you to do; He did not prove Himself incapable in the life of Daniel and He will not prove Himself incapable when you absolutely put your trust in Him as you pray; He did not prove Himself unwilling when he was thrown into the lion’s den, and He will not prove Himself unwilling when you diligently desire to follow Him even when you are mistreated, frustrated, abused, and made to suffer undue consequences as a result of your being faithful in walking in God’s ways and following His instructions; and God did not prove Himself without love, mercy and compassion in the case of Daniel, and He will not prove Himself otherwise when you show divine love, mercy and compassion to others even in the presence of hatred, abuse and wickedness directed at you because of the His name in you.

The life and exploits of Daniel will never be complete without mentioning the interventions of God’s angels to make a way for him to see the power and the glory of God in his life. Through a decision and determination to pray and fast, God open the door for Daniel to have an encounter with King Nebuchadnezzar, that single encounter did many things in the life of Daniel. He was taken out of the prison immediately, appointed the king’s senior adviser and remained in office through successive kings. Prayer and fasting can set you free from every satanic prison, made you seat with kings and in position of authority, and preserved your position through successive governments as was the case of Daniel.

Through prayer when God sent His angels into the lion’s den where Daniel was meant to be destroyed. Your prayers can make God to send His angels. “My God sent his angel to shut the lions’ mouths so that they would not hurt me, for I have been found innocent in his sight. And I have not wronged you, Your Majesty. The king was overjoyed and ordered that Daniel be lifted from the den. Not a scratch was found on him, for he had trusted in his God. Then the king gave orders to arrest the men who had maliciously accused Daniel. He had them thrown into the lions’ den, along with their wives and children. The lions leaped on them and tore them apart before they even hit the floor of the den. Then King Darius sent this message to the people of every race and nation and language throughout the world: Peace and prosperity to you. I decree that everyone throughout my kingdom should tremble with fear before the God of Daniel. For he is the living God and he will endure forever. His kingdom will never be destroyed, and his rule will never end. He rescues and saves his people; he performs miraculous signs and wonders in the heavens and on earth. He has rescued Daniel from the power of the lions, so Daniel prospered during the reign of Darius and the reign of Cyrus the Persian.” Daniel 6:22-28

God did not ignore and will never ignore your prayers and your commitment in following Him. If it requires Him sending His angels, I trust that He will do it. You will not go empty handed, and you will not fail in your desires to praise His name in your miracle. For prayers, Click here
