After the power of salvation comes the power of the Holy Spirit on those who accepted to follow Jesus Christ, those who believe in Him and trust His words; those who will give themselves to serve, obey and follow all of His instructions, and those who will continue in His teaching as long as they are alive on earth. The Holy Spirit has a unique place, has a purpose, and has a duty in the lives of everyone who believes and follows Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit is a seal on our true salvation that quickens our mortal body and spirit and keeps us in the faith and in fellowship with God the Father, with Jesus Christ our Lord and with other believers. Without the seal of the Holy Spirit on you, the salvation you have received will be shortlived, your Christian life, confession, and love will be unproductive and unfruitful; and without the Holy Spirit, we cannot have the fruits of the spirit living and following us. Christians that have ignored the need for the power of the Holy Spirit will never have the fruits of the lives will never be able to live the life expected of them by God, they will be struggling to live the Christian life by the power of their flesh and that is completely impossible. It takes the power of the Holy Spirit working in us to live the true life that is expected by God and men as Christians on earth that is why I desired you will receive afresh, the Holy Spirit with power and begin the Christian journey with strength and power.

If Jesus Christ who is our perfect Christian example who was born sinless and lived sinlessly was baptized with the Holy Spirit from above before beginning His earthly ministry, how much more we who were born in sin and only receive grace and forgiveness to become Christians will need that Holy Spirit on us as we seek to be what God wants us to be. We read in Acts 10:28, Paul speaking to the gentile who have just accepted Christ Jesus as their Lord in the house of Cornelius where he told them, “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with great power; and He went around doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, because God was with Him.” Remember, when salvation is true and real, the Holy Spirit will be there to confirm every word of God. Where the Jesus Christ dwells, the Holy Spirit and God the Father are there also. No one can ever separate the three irrespective of their wisdom and power of knowledge or expression. If you have received salvation by grace through Jesus Christ our Lord and ready to acknowledge and confess Him as your only Lord and Savior, God wants you to have the Holy Spirit in full measure and to work under the power that only the Holy Spirit will enable in your life and in your ways.

This is John the Baptist testimony concerning Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, and what he was told by God personally. “They asked him, why then are you baptizing if you are not the Christ, nor Elijah, nor the Prophet? John answered them, I baptize only in water, but among you there stands One whom you do not recognize and of whom you know nothing. It is He who comes after me, the strap of whose sandal I am not worthy to untie even as His slave. These things occurred in Bethany across the Jordan, where John was baptizing. The next day he saw Jesus coming to him and said, look, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. This is He on behalf of whom I said after me comes a Man who has a higher rank than I and has priority over me, for He existed before me. I did not recognize Him as the Messiah, but I came baptizing in water so that He would be publicly revealed to Israel. John gave further evidence testifying officially for the record, with validity and relevance, saying, I have seen the Spirit descending as a dove out of heaven, and He remained upon Him. I did not recognize Him as the Messiah, but He who sent me to baptize in water said to me, He upon whom you see the Spirit descend and remain, this One is He who baptizes with the Holy Spirit. I myself have actually seen that happen, and my testimony is that this is the Son of God.” John 1:25-34. Jesus Christ needed the baptism of the Holy Spirit to be publicly known, recognized and revealed to the world. For prayers Click here
