“The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of the calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saint. And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believes, according to the working of his mighty power. Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places. Far above all principalities and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but in the world to come. And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head of the church. Which is his body, the fullness of him that filleth all in all.” Ephesians 1:18-23

Did you know that you have spiritual and physical lives as well as physical and spiritual eyes for you to see with? Just as you use your physical eyes to see physical things, you need to also use your spiritual eyes to see spiritual. Just as you live a physical life, you need also to live a spiritual life. Just like you cherish your physical eyes, you need to also cherish your spiritual eyes. Just like your physical eyes that are opened, you need and deserve your spiritual eyes to be opened.

God did not make you blind both ways, though you have been using your physical eyes to see, God is going to open your spiritual eyes as you cry out this morning for open eyes so that you can add greater values to your life from now on and begin impacting others positively.

God in His goodness gave us eyes purposely that we may see the steps we take each day, be able to direct our path according to His words, and be well able to fulfill our purpose and our mission on this earth. Living and walking under any form of blindness is not only dangerous; it causes great limitations, sorrows, pains, anger, unstopped regrets, misses, failures, misfortune that cannot be understood, explained and unimagined. The opening of our physical eyes gives us the grace to see, admire, appreciate and take hold of physical things. It also requires the opening of our spiritual eyes for us to see, admire, appreciate and take hold of spiritual things that rightly belong to us as had been promised us by our Lord Jesus Christ.

The opening of your eyes brings you into new realities in life in the things you do, in the things you expect, in your relationship with God and with man, and in what you will come to see and know in life from now on. There is what is call spiritual blindness and physical blindness, but by God’s grace and power, you will be completely delivered from them all and be blessed.

There are so many things reserved for you alone by God, and not until He opens your eyes to see them, enables you to get them, secures you to enjoy them, and multiply them to you, you will never have them, and if you get them through any other means, you will not enjoy them.

It takes the opening of your eyes to see what God has for you each day. It takes the opening of your spiritual eyes to see and appreciate what God has done for you, and it takes the opening of your spiritual eyes to see and know how wicked the devil is and what his intents is in your life.

When your eyes are truly opened, your hope and expectations now and in the future will be fully restored and strengthened, you will see your inheritances as promised by God which gives you the strength and courage needed to faithfully invest yourself in yourself in your expectation in Christ. It reveals the riches and greatness that you have and will have in believing and following Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior.

We read of two men who lost their physical eyes but were able to use their senses to know that Christ Jesus was passing where they were sitting and begging and they cried out to Him to open their eyes and He did. When they cried out, “And Jesus stood still, and called them and said, what will ye want me do unto you? They say unto Him, Lord, that our eyes be opened. So Jesus had compassion on them, and touched their eyes, and immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed him.” Matthew 20:32-34. For Prayers Click here
