TAKE ME BEYOND MY EXPECTATIONS OH LORD (07)

After many years of sickness, after many years of expectation, after everyone had left him, after days or years of loneliness and helplessness, after many years of desperation and waiting at the place of his expected miracle, the sick man was surprised to see someone he never knew come to have a discussion with him; he expected the person to stay around until the time the angel will arrive and stir the water. He expected this person will push him into the water for his expected miracle and healing of his body, but beyond his best imagination and expectations, things were about to change instantly for him; his life was about to change for the best, his healing was about to come and his restoration was to begin. His mouth was about to open for a testimony. When you have an expectation from the Almighty God, trust that it can happen instantly, it can happen at any time, it can be at this very moment or later, but be certain that God will do it because He has a plan and a purpose for your life and for every situation He allows in your life, there will be a miracle and a testimony that will glorify His name. That is what faith in God is all about. Trust God for it to happen now and trust God to do it at His appointed time.

If Christ will or should come to you right now, what expectation will He see or hear from you? Where will He meet you with that good expectation in your heart? Jesus Christ met this sick and invalid man at the place of his expectation; He met him with a living expectation despite all the years of his sickness, his inability, his disappointment, and discouragement; He spoke with him based on his expectation, and the man expressed the situation he expected for the fulfillment of the expectation. If Christ Jesus will speak to you today, what will you tell Him? Will He meet you at the right place of your expectation, with the right mind for your expectations and with the right word concerning your expectation? Will He see or hear alternatives ideas from and in you?

While the sick man was waiting for men to help, Jesus Christ showed up beyond his expectation; while he was waiting for the right moment, even before that moment came, Jesus showed up at the appointed moment of God for his miracle; when he was rejected and abandoned by family and friends, Jesus Christ showed up, met him at his point of expectation and something changed, his life changed, he got his healing and was restored. How it happened was beyond the best of his expectation and everyone else around him. What happened to this sick man after that meeting and that conversation were more interesting. The man had his expectations and the methods he knew best and had seen before, but surprising to him, Christ Jesus did not follow his method, did not wait for the angel to come, did not wait for the water to be stirred did not push the man into the still water and did not heal any other person in the place but this man alone. All Christ did was give him a command and he followed, and he saw his expectations fulfilled.

“When Jesus saw the man and knew that he had been sick for such a long time, Jesus asked him, do you want to be well? The sick man answered Him, Sir, there is no one to help me get into the pool when the water is stirred up. While I am coming to the water, someone else always gets in before me. Then Jesus said to him, stand up. Pick up your mat and walk. And immediately the man was well, healed, he picked up his mat and began to walk. The day this happened was a Sabbath day. So the Jews said to the man who had been healed, today is the Sabbath. It is against our law for you to carry your mat on the Sabbath day. But he answered them, the man who made me well told me, pick up your mat and walk. Then they asked him, who is the man who told you to pick up your mat and walk? But the man who had been healed did not know who it was because there were many people in that place, and Jesus had left. Later, Jesus found the man at the Temple and said to him, see, you are well now. Stop sinning so that something worse does not happen to you. Then the man left and told his people, the Jewish leaders that Jesus was the one who had made him well. John 5:6-15. Prayer Request Click here
