"WHAT MATTERS, AND WHAT DOES NOT (III)"

Post date: Apr 6, 2017 12:06:59 AM

What matters most is not what is behind us, but what is ahead of us, what is ahead for us, and what we are doing to reach the mark that God in His love and mercy had set for us to reach as we walk the earth as His beloved children. Did you know that God had set a mark for you to attain? Paul said we should not look back but to hold on and to keep making progress towards the mark. Nothing will stop us if we always keep our focus and give our best strength towards doing that which matters. “I don’t mean to say that I have already achieved these things or that I have already reached perfection. But I press on to possess that perfection for which Christ Jesus first possessed me. No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us. Let all who are spiritually mature agree on these things. If you disagree on some point, I believe God will make it plain to you. But we must hold on to the progress we have already made.” Philippians 3:12-16

“Jesus replied, I have already told you, and you don’t believe me. The proof is the work I do in my Father’s name. But you don’t believe me because you are not my sheep. My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them away from me, for my Father has given them to me, and he is more powerful than anyone else. No one can snatch them from the Father’s hand. The Father and I are one.” John 10:25-30. What matters most is not what we have now or who we are now; it is the God we have now, that is what matters; the God we know and trust now, that is what matters; it is the God we truly follow and allow an unreserved access into our hearts, thoughts, actions and words, that is what matters; the God we call on and the God we listen to always, that is what matters; the God we obey always and the God we subject ourselves voluntarily to accept, that is what matters. Everything else will Change by the power of the Almighty God, but His purpose, His words, His desires and His will for everyone through His words will never change. We serve and trust and follow the God who alone can and will change all things.

God had set a place that you will triumph, that is what matters, and that is what I am praying for and He will take you there; He took Adam and Eve personally to the Garden of Eden, they did not discover it, He took them there and placed them there. God will give you security where He had made for you and where He is taking you to or where He had placed you. No one will take you out from that place and no one will take your place. Your experience with the powers of wickedness, powers of darkness and powers of evil in that place will not destroy you and will not destroy God plans for your life. Because you will walk in obedience to His words, sin will not overtake you there, temptation will not weaken you there, and fear will not make you run from there. The God who took there, He knows what He will do and He will definitely do it for you.

In the Garden of Eden, Adam and Eve were at their best in all things, knowledge, health, ability, wealth, peace and everything else that life required; they had and enjoyed God’s covering grace and provisions; God’s presence was always with them even when the serpent also desired to be spending time with them. He had set a place for you to shine, to be known, to have peace, victory and to be what He had said; God had set a time for you to be blessed; nothing will stop you because He is involved in all that matters in our lives. What matters is where we are going from here by His power, not where we are coming from or where we were born: what matters is what we will become hereafter because of His grace and blessings not what we are right now; what matters most is what we will do with what we know now, not what we knew before now; the past is gone through Christ Jesus, and the new is here through salvation in Christ, we will embrace it, we will celebrate it, and we will make progress, and that is what matters.
