“After the Sabbath ended, at the first light of dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to take a look at the tomb. Suddenly, the earth shook violently beneath their feet as the angel of the Lord Jehovah descended from heaven. Lightning flashed around him and his robe was dazzling white. The guards were stunned and terrified, lying motionless like dead men. Then the angel walked up to the tomb, rolled away the stone, and sat on top of it. The women were breathless and terrified until the angel said to them, there’s no reason to be afraid. I know you’re here looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He isn’t here, he has risen victoriously, just as he said. Come inside the tomb and see the place where our Lord was lying.” Matthew 28:1-6. On the resurrection day, God through His might and goodwill made a way for Mary Magdalene and other women with her to see the empty tomb that Jesus Christ was laid.

After the crucifixion and burial of Jesus Christ, while some were hiding for fear of being killed or persecuted by those who condemned and killed Jesus Christ; others were talking about what happened in their privacy, the disciples were wondering what next to do; Mary Magdalene in the sincerity of her mind desired to visit and see the body of Christ by visiting the tomb and other women decided to follow her to the tomb also, unknown to her, God was ready to show her the empty tomb, show her the clothes used to wrap Christ body and to tell her of the good news that will change the narrative in the city and beyond, tell her the news that will restore confidence and hope, tell her the news that will restore boldness in her and the disciple and also show her with convincing evidence. God sent His angel to show her the place and she saw it with her eyes, she heard the angel speak, and she subsequently saw Christ alive and heard Him speak to her. It was an amazing experience that brought her back to life with jubilation. God made a way for her to have that amazing experience and He will make a way for you to have an amazing experience as you believe, trust and follow Christ Jesus. Is there anything too hard for our Lord to do for those who will have faith in Him, have faith in His words, and have faith in His promises?

When God made the way for Mary Magdalene and other women on that Sunday morning, all the soldiers posted to keep guard on the tomb armed with instructions from their leaders and with weapons to kill whoever will come near the tomb could not stop her when she came near; her peers could not stop her when she stepped forward; the threat from people could not stop her, the stone rolled over the entrance of the tomb could not stop her, all these happened because God in His power had sent His angels to make a way for her, to disarm the soldiers' boldness, to lead her into the tomb, to show her what she wanted to see, and to deliver a message of hope and relieve and confidence and hope and joy to her. That is what God does when He leads on the ways He makes. God made the way that was beyond her imagination and beyond her fears.

When Mary Magdalene and other women went to see the tomb that Jesus Christ was laid, she and those with her did not return in shame or humiliation; they returned with jubilation, joy, and celebration. That is what God will do as He leads you. “For in his wisdom, God designed that all the world’s wisdom would be insufficient to lead people to the discovery of himself. He took great delight in baffling the wisdom of the world by using the simplicity of preaching the story of the cross in order to save those who believe it. For the Jews constantly demand to see miraculous signs, while those who are not Jews constantly cling to the world’s wisdom, but we preach the crucified Messiah. The Jews stumble over him and the rest of the world sees him as foolishness. But for those who have been chosen to follow him, both Jews and Greeks, he is God’s mighty power, God’s true wisdom, and our Messiah. For the foolish things of God have proven to be wiser than human wisdom. And the feeble things of God have proven to be far more powerful than any human ability.” 1 Corinthians 1: 21-25.
