THE SIGNS YOU NEED

While Christians are not advised to be moved by signs but by what we believe, the word of God we trust and the Almighty God we follow through Christ Jesus, there are some sign that God will intentionally give to us every day that we should never in any way play down on or ignore when walking in faith with Him. But despite the sign, His words hold supreme in every situation. The signs that God gave then and will give us now are just pointers to confirm the promise He had pronounced and the words He had spoken. Signs that does not confirm to His words and verified by the scriptures should be ignored. There is no sign from God destined to take you out of the will of God or encourage you to act contrary to His written word in the scriptures.

To Abraham, God gave a sign of the stars in heaven at night and sand at the shore to signify that his children will be as numerous when He asked for a child after many years of holding unto the promise and walking faithfully with God. To Noah, God gave the sign of a rainbow to confirm a covenant that there will be no destructive rain of that magnitude again in the history of humanity after Noah had survived the greatest flood disaster in history through obedience and diligence when he offered a sacrifice of thanksgiving after the flood.

To Mary the angel gave her a sign of the pregnancy of Elizabeth her cousin to confirm that there is nothing too hard for God to do when we truly believe and follow His words. Signs are not meant to create doubts but to create confidence and reliance on God. The scribes and the Pharisees ones asked Christ Jesus for a sign about His resurrection, He gave them the sign of Jonah in the fish belly signifying the number of days it will take for Him to resurrect from the death. Elijah only needed his servant to see the sign of a small cloud in the sky to confirm the abundance of rain after seven observations by the servant and hours of intense prayer.

There will always be a time that we seek a sign to keep hope alive and to keep pressing on in the things we need and had ask God for in prayers, but the best signs you will need to confirm that God will do it for you are, your salvation, strong and continuous believe in God, standing on and believing in His unfailing words, walking in faith in all seasons, and your convincing consistency in asking at His throne. God will surely answer you.

“Now there was a certain man among the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler, a leader, an authority among the Jews, who came to Jesus at night and said to Him, Rabbi, we know and are certain that You have come from God as a Teacher; for no one can do these signs, these wonderworks, these miracles, and produce the proofs that You do unless God is with him. Jesus answered him, I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, that unless a person is born again, anew, from above, he cannot ever see, know, be acquainted with, and experience the kingdom of God. Nicodemus said to Him, How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter his mother’s womb again and be born? Jesus answered, I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, unless a man is born of water and even the Spirit, he cannot ever enter the kingdom of God. What is born of from the flesh is flesh of the physical is physical; and what is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not; do not be surprised, astonished at My telling you, You must all be born anew from above. But to as many as did receive and welcome Him, He gave the authority, power, privilege, right to become the children of God, that is, to those who believe in, adhere to, trust in, and rely on His name. Who owe their birth neither to bloods nor to the will of the flesh, that of physical impulse nor to the will of man that of a natural father, but to God. They are born of God.” John 3:1-4; 1:12-13.
