PATIENCE IS ALL

Do not count yourself a failure or someone not making any progress in life. The joy of the Lord is that you are increasing in Him and in your daily understanding of His plans and that you are growing in patience which is the evidence of hope and expectation of good things to come. Patience is the only spiritual gift that is developed and made perfect in affliction. By the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, you are definitely making great progress in life despite what you are feeling. Every affliction you are going through today will never be in vain.

Patience has a long term positive effect in everything you do. It is never a sign of weakness or foolishness. It is not a sign of defeat but a sign of preparation for the glory of the Lord to be unveiled at His time. It is a sign that builds a solid foundation for the blessings that will come after the affliction. Patience keeps you on your knees before God in prayers, while pride keeps you on your toes despite the pains. It is s virtue we all need as we grow in Lord and in the hope of His coming.   Patience sets God ahead while you follow; and when God is ahead, your victory will surely come with absolute security.

Impatience is one of the sources of grave misfortunes, mistakes and failure in life. Many are wallowing in pains today because of it and many are regretting bitterly. This should not be your portion again.  It was the main source of King Saul’s failure in obedience and many others are adversely affected by the lack of this virtue today. Many have lost their joy, peace, money, spouses, and children and hope because they lack patience, but God can restore all. I will declare to you that God will not deny you His promises; He will not promise what He is not capable to fulfill. He will not promise you anything and allow the devil to torment you in it indefinitely.

Paul writing to the Thessalonians said, “We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers; Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father; Knowing, brethren beloved, your election of God” 1 Thessalonians 1:2-4. I am praying for you all.

Every labor in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ will be beautifully rewarded, every act of faith will be compensated adequately in this life and in that to come, and they will only be made available to you when you continue in patience and hope in Christ Jesus. Your election by God to receive the promise is made perfect by your continuous patience in love and expectation.

Another reason for patience is “That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness. My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.  But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing” Colossians 1:10-11, James 1:2-4. There is no joy in pains but there is mighty joy when patience bears its fruits after enduring pain.

God will not just approve your entire request without vetting them. This vetting is done in His love and desire for our protection and guidance so will live to enjoy all that you ask. Patience is needed to work with God, to receive from Him and to continue with Him. The time of patience might be frustrating but it is very rewarding in the physical and spiritual thereafter.
