DEAR LORD, I HAVE CHOSEN TO BELIEVE YOU (I)

Believing in God is personal and optional; the result is also personal but very inclusive. God had given every living being the power of free will; He had given everyone the power to choose right or choose wrong according to individual’s desires and their own understanding what they want and what they like in life in all situations. God did not place any restrictions on the choices we make, but through His words in the Holy Bible, He gave us a guide on how to use the free when we are making choices. Through the gift of that free will, you hold the power to either choose to believe God or in something or choose not to believe Him or anything. Through the exercise of that free will in making choices, you become a believer in God through Jesus Christ and by that choice that you have made you become a true candidate for God’s miracles through faith in His words and in His promises as you extend walk in Him daily. God had given His words, it is your choice to either believe it or not believe it, He will never force you or had He ever forced anyone else to believe in Him but He definitely desire that you believe in Him.

In choosing to believe the Almighty God, Abraham and Sarah made a difference in their time from all other human beings and for his descendants; he becomes the father of faith and father of a new nation through promise; God credited all of his actions as righteousness; through believing God’s words, he defeated five kings who ganged up to fight him; had inside into what God was about to do in Sodom and Gomorrah; succeeded through intercession to save the life of Lot and his family; through believing, Abraham and Sarah lived to see the promised child conceived and delivered contrary to the expectations of the people because of their age, and through believed, he made adequate provisions for Isaac his son and saw lived many years. Through believing the words of God Isaac changed his mind and remained in Gerar and God blessed him and made him very fruitful to the envy of others who dwell in the land with him despite the severe famine that was ongoing in the land. Through believe, Isaac inherited the divine blessings of Abraham and thereafter passed same blessings to Jacob his son. Through believing God Jacob continued in the footsteps of Abraham and God had to change His name to Israel and confessed to Moses that He is the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. When given the chance to make a choice, Joshua declared to the people who were there to listen him speak: “And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” Joshua 24:15

You will always have the chance to make a choice and what you choose will definitely happen and whom you choose will definitely be there for you. You can make a choice to believe God like Abraham despite the uncertainty that he had when he made that choice; you can change your mind on your choice like Isaac who decided to forgo his thinking and follow what God said and you can you can make a choice like Jacob who decided to follow the advice of his father Isaac and God changed his name to Israel; and you can make a choice like Joshua who declared to the hearing of everyone that he will follow God or you can make a choice like Noah who decided to follow God’s righteousness rather than the be like others in enjoying unrighteousness and the pleasure of sin. Every step that you will ever take because you believe in God will always bring you a reward and closer to what He had destined for you. Every action that you will ever take in true obedience because of what you believe will always bring you into God’s blessing and favor and he will defend you irrespective of the trouble and oppositions that you will face. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved” John 3:16-17. For Prayers, Click here
