WHAT DOES SATAN WANT IN ME? (05)

“Again, the devil took Him up on a very high mountain and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and the glory, splendor, magnificence, and excellence of them and he said to Him, all these things I will give You if You fall down and worship me.” Matthew 4:8-9. Can you resist all the offers in the pressures and temptations that Satan is presenting to you? He is resilient and always forceful, persuasive and patient in his demands but he never changes his mind and desires to have you under his control and influence. Satan offered Jesus Christ the whole world if only He will bow down to him in worship. Satan will not reveal his final plans and intents to you until you are deeply involved in him and you come to realize it yourself after many years.

Remember that you have a future that is far greater than whatever Satan may offer you to fulfill and it is only through Christ Jesus and His power working through your obedience that you will be able to achieve and fulfill that future. Beware, the devil wants to take something precious from you so he can get you to obey and follow his instructions. He wants to take your joy away; he wants to take your future and destiny in Christ Jesus away; he wants to take your money and all you have worked for away; he wants to destroy your marriage, your children, your spouse and finally your life. He wants to destroy you to the extent that you will remain sad and angry with yourself, your spouse, your children, your family, and others. When he frustrates your struggles, prayers, your bible reading, and bible studies, when he discourages you from going to church and meditating on what is good and acceptable before God, when he replaces Bible reading and study time with Christian music, when he replaces time to be in the church with others with time to have the necessary rest, when he surrounds you with friends and colleagues without faith and godliness in them, know that he is closer to you than you think.

Satan’s list of demands are endless, his targets are real, he never accepts a plea and never satisfied unless he consistently resisted through prayers, through the word of God and with the blood of Jesus Christ. Did you know Satan hates to hear the name and blood of Jesus Christ? He hates to be reminded of the Cross and the resurrection of Jesus Christ? He hates to be told that you can be totally forgiven by God through repentance and the working power of the love of Jesus Christ when you truly repent and turn away from evil? Understand this, despite all the pressure in your life and around you, God is ready and He is willing to defend you, He is ready and willing to fight for you, and He is ready and willing to minister to you through His angels, but you will have to stand against those evil pressure, against those evil and sinful cravings and habits, you must be ready to resist the pressure and you have to do that only by the use of His word on those issues and nothing else.

Despite all the pressures in and against your life, despite all the insults and accusations, despite all the insufficiencies and humiliations, despite all the loneliness and the lacks, despite the delays and the inabilities to meet necessary needs, have certain things in life, and to see the dreams you have worked so hard to achieve come through, God has a place for you, God has a plan for you, and God has a destiny that you will surely attain to in this life. As you are resisting the pressures, you are overcoming the destructive pits set to trap you one at a time that Satan would have used to deny you what had been destined in your future.

“So submit to the authority of God. Resist the devil, stand firm against him and he will flee from you. Come close to God with a contrite heart and He will come close to you. Wash your hands you sinners and purify your unfaithful hearts, you double-minded people. Be miserable and grieve and weep over your sin. Let your foolish laughter be turned to mourning and your reckless joy to gloom. Humble yourselves in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you, He will lift you up, He will give you purpose.” James 4:7-10. For prayers, Click here
