THE DEBT WE OWE

Post date: Jun 22, 2012 8:21:59 AM

The life we are living right now is the most important possession we can ever dream of and fortunately, it is given freely to all by the Almighty God. Without life there is nothing any of us can do, there will be no dreams, desires, feelings, pains, and no gain. Life was given for a purpose, not mistakenly; it was given purposely to fulfill a desired divine purpose. Bedside our beautiful dreams and visions, everyone has a purpose that is quite distinct from that of others and unique to fulfill on earth irrespective of color and gender.

The way we value the life we have today matters in all things we will ever do. Life is far beyond dreaming dreams, though that is needful, it is far beyond having visions and living well, though that is helpful, they only add values to life and God gave us the chance to have them freely.

Because of our thoughts and imaginations, we have made life more complex, difficult and tiring. We have erroneously placed our dreams, our visions, our ambitions and our desires above the life we have been given. That is what is heating us up, making people to do things they should not do, even going to the extreme of committing suicide when they fail or miss their steps in life and conceal anger and unimaginable grudges forever.

Failure is never the end of life and should not be treated so. There is no failure that God cannot redeem man from, no life that God cannot correct, none that He cannot bless and none that He cannot guide. With life we can go above our dreams and vision, but without life we can never have a dream, or desire to express it in any form. One of the most discomforting things to know about oneself is our inability to meet your need in trying times, but even at these times, God is never far away from helping us.

Here is how Christ Jesus described life to His disciples: “And [Jesus] said to His disciples, Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious and troubled [with cares] about your life, as to what you will [have to] eat; or about your body, as to what you will [have to] wear. For life is more than food, and the body [more] than clothes. Observe and consider the ravens; for they neither sow nor reap, they have neither storehouse nor barn; and [yet] God feeds them. Of how much more worth are you than the birds. And which of you by being overly anxious and troubled with cares can add a cubit to his stature or a moment [unit] of time to his age [the length of his life]? If then you are not able to do such a little thing as that, why are you anxious and troubled with cares about the rest? Consider the lilies, how they grow. They neither [wearily] toil nor spin nor weave; yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory (his splendor and magnificence) was not arrayed like one of these. -- Only aim at and strive for and seek His kingdom, and all these things shall be supplied to you also. Do not be seized with alarm and struck with fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom” Luke 12:22-32

Life is about having a relationship with the one who gave you the life you have right now, and with others who share the life with you. I want you to know that He who gave us life is able to keep us from falling and restore us again; He who keeps us safe has a plan to bless us, and He who blesses us with life, has the power to preserve us until we are what He made us to be.

Let your dreams add values to your life and that of others, let your words add values to people, let your aspirations add values to others as it adds to yours. Never do anything that will not add value to you and to others at the same time. Do not be driven by ambition, but be driven by the values it will add to you and others. Do not live your life according to the words and actions of others; make your life a source of added values to other and God will never leave you empty or forsaken. In all things you seek to do, seek to also add values to others, that is the debt we owe and we can pay it all irrespective of the situation we are.
