It is definitely not by power, or might, or knowledge, or wisdom, or location, or profession, or any insight, it is all by God’s mercies and grace in action. God’s plans for you will work, all His desires for you will be fulfilled, His children shall receive His blessings only by the mercies He shows and His grace that enables beyond all things. “But now you are free from the power of sin and have become slaves of God. Now you do those things that lead to holiness and result in eternal life. For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:22-23. God’s mercies set people free, break the powers of sins and addictions, redeems from the consequences of past and present-day mistakes, it cut off the arms of condemnation and rejection. His mercies are what makes alive, keeps alive, and enables all of humanity to be hopeful for the blessed future.

Because of His mercies we can trust Him, trust His words, and hold onto them till all o them are fulfilled in our lives for all to see. His mercies brought us salvation even when we were in our sins, and it delivers us from Satan's strongholds of sin and condemnation and His mercies will also keep us saved and safe as we walk with Christ in obedience; it will open the doors for us to see God working in our lives and also enable us to enjoy His enabling grace that will take us to the next level that will be better than our present day effort, knowledge, ability and profession irrespective of our location and past deeds or mistakes.

If this two thing abides with you, they will work you out of every difficulty, they will keep out of every condemnation and rejection, isolation and idleness, and lack; they will make you be fruitful and relevant, they will make you physically humble, they will enable you at all times and mostly in times of difficulties; they will make a way for you even when and where there is no way and even when others are locked up, they will open the ways for you. Mercy and grace come from God alone, it is not because of what we do, what we are, and where we are, they are God’s ways of keeping us and using us in His plans and works.

David knew he became king by God’s grace, and he knew that it is only God’s mercies that will preserve him on the throne. He knew it was not by his strength that he killed Goliath. He knew it was not by his family lineage, or his knowledge of governance or songs, or his extraordinary ability that made him to became king in Isreal, he knew it was all by God’s grace upon his life. When David committed adultery with Bathsheba and killed Uriah, he knew what was at stake for him before God, he knew the grace he had enjoyed and the pains he will endure thereafter, he knew that consequences of lacking God’s grace, and he went to God immediately and ask for mercy and forgiveness and God granted him. He prayed “Have mercy on me, O God, because of your unfailing love. Because of your great compassion, blot out the stain of my sins. Wash me clean from my guilt. Purify me from my sin. For I recognize my rebellion; it haunts me day and night. Against you, and you alone, have I sinned; I have done what is evil in your sight. You will be proved right in what you say, and your judgment against me is just. For I was born a sinner, yes, from the moment my mother conceived me. But you desire honesty from the womb, teaching me wisdom even there. Purify me from my sins, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow. Oh, give me back my joy again; you have broken me, now let me rejoice. Don’t keep looking at my sins. Remove the stain of my guilt. Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a loyal spirit within me. Do not banish me from your presence, and don’t take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and make me willing to obey you. Then I will teach your ways to rebels, and they will return to you. Forgive me for shedding blood, O God who saves; then I will joyfully sing of your forgiveness. Unseal my lips, O Lord, that my mouth may praise you.” Psalm 51:1-15. For prayers, Click here
