NEVER UNFORSAKEN

The existence and feeling of ups and downs in life is never a good thing to hold on to, present to the world, and to yourself as a sign of God leaving you behind in the scheme of things. These signs rather than being a discouragement should strengthen and encourage you to keep seeking the Lord. I know soon, they will turn to a sign of the existence of God in your life when He finishes His good work of grace in you. Sometimes, these weights and pressures seem too heavy to carry, the knees become weak in prayers, hope becomes deem because of delays, denials and consistent attack by the enemies, your pride is dashed because of what people are saying, and your self-esteem becomes very low because you take all these things to heart. But irrespective of the weights on your body, the thoughts in your heart and words on your lips concerning yourself and your God, our Lord had not forsaken you. Together with others and contrary to yourself, you may have condemned your very existence like Jeremiah, weaken your hands in daily labor and activities, restrained yourself from aspiring to something new even when there are clear evidence of success, none of these activities will ever diminish the power and willingness of God to revive, rescue and transform you for His glory.

“Incline your ear [submit and consent to the divine will] and come to Me; hear, and your soul will revive; and I will make an everlasting covenant or league with you, even the sure mercy (kindness, goodwill, and compassion) promised to David” Isaiah 55:3

The signs you are seeing may be glaring enough for the world to see and talk about, but God is still working to perfect His ways in you. Has God chosen you and given you His salvation? He also will preserve you. Has He given you His Spirit? He will direct your heart, your hands and your steps. Are you constantly walking in obedience? Then your sure blessings will come. Are you focusing on Him? He will sustain and establish you. There is nothing too hard for Him.

David said after going through the horrible things in the hands of King Saul; “The steps of a good man are directed and established by the Lord when He delights in his way [and He busies Himself with his every step]. Though he falls, he shall not be utterly cast down, for the Lord grasps his hand in support and upholds him. I have been young and now am old, yet have I not seen the [uncompromisingly] righteous forsaken or their seed begging bread. All day long they are merciful and deal graciously; they lend, and their offspring are blessed. Depart from evil and do good; and you will dwell forever [securely]. For the Lord delights in justice and forsakes not His saints; they are preserved forever, but the offspring of the wicked [in time] shall be cut off. Then the [consistently] righteous shall inherit the land and dwell upon it forever. The mouth of the [uncompromisingly] righteous utters wisdom, and his tongue speaks with justice. The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide” Psalm 37:23-31

Paul wrote to the Corinthians, “We are hedged in (pressed) on every side [troubled and oppressed in every way], but not cramped or crushed; we suffer embarrassments and are perplexed and unable to find a way out, but not driven to despair; We are pursued (persecuted and hard driven), but not deserted [to stand alone]; we are struck down to the ground, but never struck out and destroyed” 2 Corinthians 4:8-9

“For you shall go out [from the spiritual exile caused by sin and evil into the homeland] with joy and be led forth [by your Leader, the Lord Himself, and His word] with peace; the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands. Instead of the thorn shall come up the cypress tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree; and it shall be to the Lord for a name of renown, for an everlasting sign [of jubilant exaltation] and memorial [to His praise], which shall not be cut off.” Isaiah 55:12-13. I know you will stand to testify of the goodness of our Lord.
