GRACE BEYOND POWERS

Power is dispensable while grace is indispensable. There is power and there is grace, both are very useful but the work, result and effect of grace far exceeds that of power. The work, result and effect of grace always last longer than that of power. Power has its time and season to be effective, while grace is very effective all the time and in all seasons, it is everlasting. Grace does not only take us to the point of being saved, it goes far beyond thereafter to positively affect our everyday activities, words, thoughts, victories, encounters with the devil, men and our efforts in living for Christ Jesus in our respective professions and locations.

Grace is beyond power, beyond wealth, beyond knowledge, beyond favor, beyond ability, beyond any assistance from any one irrespective of that persons office; it stands with you and dwells in you even in times of your greatest weakness, denials, delays, frustrations and rejection; it stands with you when people despite and maltreat you, and it is that last gift to depart in the lives of anyone on earth, sinner and saint alike

When grace is working in you, it will distinguish and magnify you before men; it will surely take you far beyond your present location in whatever you are doing; it will take you far beyond the boundaries of your profession and vocation, far beyond your expected results, far beyond your colleagues and competitors, and far beyond your dreams, visions and desires in life. Grace can speak for you when you are speechless, confused and irritated; it can defend you till the day of your expected glory comes forth.

It is grace that changes lives, it is grace that gives power to the flesh to make profit beyond power: it is grace that goes before you to prepare the ground for your exaltation and subsequent recognition in what you are doing. When power is running out, grace sustains you to the next level. It is through the grace of God that we all become Christians and still living to proclaim the joy and the hope of our salvation. It was the working of grace that kept us alive while we yet in our sins. The grace of God that is given to every believer on the day of salvation is far above and beyond the powers that reside in the life of any one on earth.

It was the grace of God that kept Noah from being destroyed by the flood. “So the Lord said, I will destroy, blot out, and wipe away mankind, whom I have created from the face of the ground, not only man, but the beasts and the creeping things and the birds of the air, for it grieves Me and makes Me regretful that I have made them. But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord. This is the history of the generations of Noah. Noah was a just and righteous man, blameless in his evil generation; Noah walked in habitual fellowship with God” Genesis 6:7-9

It amazes me to know that God gave Paul the power to heal but when he was sick, God gave him the grace to endure and to keep working to fulfill the covenant promise.

“He did this that He might clearly demonstrate through the ages to come the immeasurable, limitless, and surpassing riches of His free grace, His unmerited favor in His kindness and goodness of heart toward us in Christ Jesus. For it is by free grace, God’s unmerited favor that you are saved and delivered from judgment and made partakers of Christ’s salvation through faith. And this salvation is not of yourselves, of your own doing, it came not through your own striving, but it is the gift of God; Not because of works, not the fulfillment of the Law’s demands, lest any man should boast. It is not the result of what anyone can possibly do, so no one can pride himself in it or take glory to himself. For we are God’s own handiwork, His workmanship, recreated in Christ Jesus, born anew that we may do those good works which God predestined, planned beforehand for us taking paths which He prepared ahead of time, that we should walk in them, living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live.” Ephesians 2:7-10.
