TWELVE THINGS MARY SAID AFTER THE BIRTH OF JESUS

Post date: Dec 27, 2019 4:53:55 AM

God will open your mouth to speak well about your life, He will open your eyes to see the things He had promised, He will give you strength and grace to overcome whatever had hindered you and to speak up, speak right, and speak well. Those things you have not been able to say about yourself despite your education, your qualifications, your ability, your faithfulness, your insights, your understanding, the wisdom of God on you concerning your life and your progress, you will speak them. Those things the enemies had denied you from having, and seeing, and experiencing, you will see them, you will have them and you will experience them. All the things you have been deprived of due to evil of poor judgment, injustice, mistakes, sickness, loneliness, humiliation, and shame you will have them. When Mary saw the promise of God fulfilled, she was overjoyed and very humbled.

This was what Mary said that beautiful day: “My soul magnifies and exalts the Lord, and my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior. For He has looked with loving care on the humble state of His maidservant, for behold, from now on all generations will count me blessed and happy and favored by God. For He who is mighty has done great things for me, and holy is His name to be worshiped in His purity, majesty, and glory. and His mercy is upon generation after generation towards those who stand in great awe of God and fear Him. He has done mighty deeds with His powerful arm, He has scattered those who were proud in the thoughts of their heart. He has brought down rulers from their thrones and exalted those who were humble. He has filled the hungry with good things and sent the rich away empty-handed. He has helped His servant Israel, in remembrance of His mercy, just as He promised to our fathers, to Abraham and to his descendants forever.” Luke 1:46-55

Mary said twelve things that expressed what she went through since the day the angel of God informed her she was the one God will use to fulfill the promise. These were not ordinary words, they came out of deep thoughts, personal experiences, observations around her, the pride by men and the ridicule from people who thought they knew God better and were better qualified than her in knowledge and in holiness. She expressed her humility, her joy, and her thoughts.

(1.) My soul magnifies and exalts the Lord. She knew according to the standard of the men in the leadership of the synagogues she was nothing but God had chosen her and she has to magnify and exalt Him. (2.) My spirit has rejoiced. Her spirit was greatly touched and almost destroyed by what people were saying, but on that day her spirit was revived and rejoicing. (3.) He has looked with loving care on the humble state of His maidservant. Through God’s love, grace and care, she knew from that day, God has lifted her up above what she was before then. (4.) All generations will count me blessed and happy and favored by God. God has blessed her and everyone will know it and recognize her as favored and blessed. (5.) He who is mighty has done great things for me. She knew God was the one who did it all for her and not by her strength or any of her righteous acts or righteousness or ability. (6.) Holy is His name to be worshiped. She ascribed the Holiness to God alone. (7.) His mercy is upon generation after generation towards those who stand in great awe of God and fear Him. She acknowledged it was an act of God’s mercy that brought her to the state she now becomes in life and in the world. (8.) He has done mighty deeds with His powerful arm, It was by God’s power. (9.) He has scattered those who were proud in the thoughts of their heart. Those who proud were scattered. (10.) He has brought down rulers from their thrones, and exalted those who were humble. The rulers who thought she was not qualified were taken down. (11.) He has filled the hungry with good things and sent the rich away empty-handed. She was hungry for God and God filled her. (12.) He has helped His servant Israel, remembering His mercy, just as He promised to our fathers, to Abraham and to his descendants forever. He remembered His promises and did fulfill it.
