THIS MONTH, GOD WILL REMEMBER YOU (4)

Post date: Dec 4, 2019 3:33:31 PM

God told Noah, He was about to do unusual things on the earth and turn around and told Noah again, when this happens, you will also experience unusual things because He will be with Him. That is how much God will love and favor you when He remembers you. Noah saw the unusual thing happen, he saw the rain, saw the flood and saw people crying for help, saw people die in the flood, and he saw God in action in his life in ways that were beyond his imagination. He saw the ark he constructed according to the instructions of God floating on top of the floodwater, he saw himself, his children, his family and everything he brought into the ark alive despite the flood outside and the destruction. God’s love is immeasurable, uncomparable, effective, active, always relieving and rewarding.

This was what qualified Noah to see and experience the unusual things God said to him: “These are the records of the generations, the family history of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, one who was just and had right standing with God, he was blameless in his evil generation, Noah walked and lived in habitual fellowship with God.” Genesis 6:9. Noah was righteous before God and before man despite what was going on in his time and around him. He had a good walk, he lived his life the way God will be pleased, he feared and respected God’s word above everything else, and had good fellowship God always despite the attractions or distraction in his life and in his time. What qualifies you for God’s remembrance? It was not Noah’s name that brought him favor and mercy, it was his consistent actions and the ways he lives; it was not his location or residence but what he did where he lived; it was not his profession, but what he did when he heard the instructions from God that day.

When the world goes wrong, God is never wrong, His instructions are never wrong, and none of His words will ever fails. When people follow the wrong path, when friends go wrong, spouse, children, family member, business associate, religious teachers, preachers, and counselors go wrong, God is never wrong and His words will never be wrong. When your dreams and ideas and desires go wrong or die, God who give dreams and ideas and good desires will never die and will never go wrong; when human help fails to come at the right time, the God who helps even the helpless never fails; when opportunities are missed or lost repeatedly, the God who makes new and unusual things to happen will give you another opportunity. When friends desert you for any reasons, God will not desert you because they have deserted you; when friends forget you for any reason, God will not forget you even in that same reason; when friends abandon you because of what they think and know of you or assume about you, God, will not abandon you because of all that they will ever know or confirm as very bad about you. Noah had the opportunity to be like others in his time around him, but he decided he will rather follow God, obey His words, follow His instructions and it paid off for him in an amazing way.

“And God remembered and thought kindly of Noah and every living thing and all the animals that were with him in the ark and God made a wind blow over the land, and the waters receded. Also the fountains of the deep and the windows of the heavens were closed, the rain from the sky was restrained, and the waters receded steadily from the earth. At the end of a hundred and fifty days, the waters had diminished. On the seventeenth day of the seventh month, the ark came to rest on the mountains of Ararat. The waters continued to decrease until the tenth month, on the first day of the tenth month the tops of the mountains were seen. Then God spoke to Noah and to his sons with him, saying, now behold, I am establishing My covenant with you and with your descendants after you and with every living creature that is with you, the birds, the livestock, and the wild animals of the earth along with you, of everything that comes out of the ark, every living creature of the earth. I will establish My covenant with you.” Genesis 8:1-5; 9:8-11. For prayers, Click here
