TIME AND TIDE WAIT FOR NO ONE?

We all must have heard this before and will definitely hear them over again. You might have been told by parents, spouse, family and friends that you are not getting younger, that your prime days are fast eroding you. These statements directly refers or requires you to take some actions that will make you live according to your time and age in many aspects of live. Most of the time, these words are depressing, frustrating and annoying, mostly when what is demanded of you is outside of your power and you have done all your possible best to change things without success. These words are often used at this time of the year, directly telling you that this year is passing by and you are still the same as yesterday. Do not offended, your God is the controller of time.

Sometimes, you use these words to refer to yourself and cause your own self depression, pain and anger. These words are powerful, sometimes damaging to your ego and motivation, and sometimes they wake you up to think otherwise. But whatever these words have done to you, there is news from the throne of grace to you today; God is not absent in that which concerns you even though His silent is becoming painful. May I assure you that your God will not remain silent forever; He will give an answer, keep pressing on, keep knocking and keep asking, the door is about to be flung open for you. His silence is only momentarily. “Keep on asking and it will be given you; keep on seeking and you will find; keep on knocking [reverently] and [the door] will be opened to you. For everyone who keeps on asking receives; and he who keeps on seeking finds; and to him who keeps on knocking, [the door] will be opened.” Matthew 7:7-8

Your inability to have those demands fulfilled before this time was not as a result of the absence of workable ideas or wrong potential admirers, wrong calculations, wrong physical location, wrong prayers, wrong motives, wrong first or last name, wrong attitude, wrong use of words, wrong family background, wrong opportunities or any other imaginable wrongs, though they are all have respective effects. It is because time and tides is not in your hands but in the hands of the Lord God who made all things, and gives power for all opportunities to come through. It was not because you are not smart enough or that you are too timid, doll, unattractive, uneducated, and poor or that you do not know how to play the game right. But despite all forms of wrongs and failures, you serve a God who graciously and mercifully forgives and redeems. Take these words: “Come now, and let us reason together, says the Lord. Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be like wool. If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land; But if you refuse and rebel, you will be devoured by the sword. For the mouth of the Lord has spoken it.” Isaiah 1:18-20

Your God owns the time and made the tides of life to rise and to fall. Though they may refuse to wait for you, they cannot refuse to wait and to obey your God when He speaks for you. “But now [in spite of past judgments for Israel’s sins], thus says the Lord, He Who created you, O Jacob, and He Who formed you, O Israel: Fear not, for I have redeemed you [ransomed you by paying a price instead of leaving you captives]; I have called you by your name; you are Mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you, and through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned or scorched, nor will the flame kindle upon you. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior; I give Egypt [to the Babylonians] for your ransom, Ethiopia and Seba [a province of Ethiopia] in exchange [for your release]. Because you are precious in My sight and honored, and because I love you, I will give men in return for you and peoples in exchange for your life. Fear not, for I am with you; I will bring your offspring from the east [where they are dispersed] and gather you from the west. I will say to the north, Give up and to the south, Keep not back. Bring My sons from afar and My daughters from the ends of the earth” Isaiah 43:1-6. Join in this expectation Click here
